Introducing gVaults: Staking vaults built for @Monad. For the first time ever, liquid staking users on Monad can have their own validator. gVaults offer an institutional on ramp to the liquid staking ecosystem. Here’s how it works.

Running a @SentinelP2P validator on v0.11.5? Read this. I ran into issues using public genesis.json files, most are incompatible with Cosmos SDK v0.47 (used by sentinelhub v0.11.5). Panic errors, missing fields and so on So I built a full containerized Sentinel validator setup👇🏻

@MF_DROO @llamaonthebrink Well, we were lucky to find a good business model in blockchain validation. Most FOSS contributors do not have a native way to make money unfortunately.

@llamaonthebrink I believe @polka_chu is a case study (in web3 infra) on how to stand out and win with FOSS. People collectively __do__ recognize open source, I feel we are just early in financializing contributions— which maybe is exciting? Maybe I’m too optimistic

Our boy Gwart got cooked tbh. Haseeb's arguments were quite grounded. Gwart's seemed incoherent, but I don't necessarily disagree with some of it. I think where I strictly disagree with gwart is that open source apps and projects can absolutely capture rent in the long term and build network effects. Open source != non-profit Projects can capture network effects just through brand recognition alone. This is literally how most goods and services work!!! What proprietary goods does Louis Vutton or Gucci have? Nothing, most of their goods are made in China. It's all about their brand. This is exactly why Advil still does a ton of sales despite having fundamentally no difference from the cheaper generic ibuprofen alternatives. The evidence is strictly against the theory that you "must have proprietary tech to capture value" In fact, it appears to be quite the opposite. I think Gwart may simply be indexing too much on silicone valley and tech industry mentality. Where as I find crypto and blockchain to be more like the physical version of the internet, making it akin to physical property and real estate, instead of another "tech play." Meaning that the end results of this industry may turn out much different than that of a "tech play."

Haseeb and Gwart arguing while Tarun writes a research paper Welcome back to the Gwart Show! Today we have @hosseeb and @tarunchitra about whether VC-funded tokens are vaporware or valuable investments. They tackle fundamental questions about crypto market structure, token valuation models, and the long-term economics of L1 blockchains. Is there a carrying capacity for tokens? Are smart contract platforms overvalued? Will L1s converge to their utility value or maintain monetary premiums? Notes: - Crypto market caps follow power law distribution - Solana valued at ~$80 billion despite skepticism - Stablecoin market grew from $130B to $240B - Bitcoin dominance may increase over time - Most tokens trending down in USD since launch - L1 valuation combines utility, equity & monetary use Timestamps: 00:00 Start 03:09 Infinite tokens - Haseeb 06:10 Infinite tokens - Gwart 09:55 Infinite tokens - discussion 11:47 How to value a token 21:32 Proof of stake 30:02 Staking pro & con 33:38 ETH value 35:18 ETH is money (or not) 39:20 Value of new L1s 44:44 ROI for tokens 46:33 REV 50:46 Payments.. meh
