I am an immigrant. I became a citizen. I was elected to Congress. And I will never stop fighting for every person who came to this country chasing something better.
Right now, families in our district and across this country are living in terror. Children are going to school not knowing if their parents will be there when they get home.
This is not immigration enforcement. This is a deliberate campaign of fear and punishment targeting communities of color. And we will not accept it.
