@RSGuy_India @DriveSmart_IN Sure, but unbelted folks are an active projectile inside the vehicle. There is a higher chance of trailers being rear ended than hit from the sides and having side impact barriers would make any kind of incline impossible to traverse.

@PradyPunch @DriveSmart_IN Yes, they need to have. But even an underrun bar may not guarantee safety. A lot depends on the angle of impact, car height etc. Also an unbelted occupant can die if the underrun bar is still present.

@RSGuy_India @DriveSmart_IN I see where you are coming from but seat belts aren’t gonna stop a big block of metal pushing against the windscreeen. Tractor trailers need to have underrun safety crash bars.

@DriveSmart_IN Underrides are not the most common, but definitely the deadliest for car occupants. Only a seat belt can save you in underrides.

@VW_ID_Club Battery preconditioning was REMOVED from launch Model thru MY23 iD4 from iD.SW 3.X. Only vehicle out of the factory on Model Year 24 had Battery conditioning feature. Saying it was added as software update is misleading. Self parking was included when side sensors were added

@PradyPunch Self parking was actually added via OTA update (for Europe anyways), software 3.x I think. Battery preconditioning was added on the 2024 models and newer on software version 4.0. #VW $TSLA

3 years of ownership and my @vw 2022 ID.4 is still missing basic EV features (in-route battery warming, plug-n-charge) on VW own @ElectrifyAm network. It feels like a $50k customer beta with all of the recalls and none of the smart features.
