See there, Chomsky was flattered by gifts from the "savage" capitalists & wealthy powers; even became close friends with them. Most times them who give lectures on the evil of capitalism enjoy its fruits the most. What an ego. & of course, plenty justifications, but no apologies.

@ThisisKaltri @avucic They r holding Russian flags, and Serbian flags with a map of Kosova on it reading "we will not give it up"! People holding EU & Ukrainian flags r being met with hostility by fellow protestors. Serbian war veterans/war criminals r marching alongside students. There is no change!

The current protests in Serbia have erupted into the largest mobilization in the country's modern history, marking a powerful wave of dissatisfaction with @avucic's increasingly authoritarian regime. Tens of thousands of citizens are taking to the streets, fueled by anger over open corruption, mismanagement, and the suppression of fundamental freedoms. These are not merely protests but they represent a full blown revolt demanding accountability and democracy. Vucic's administration has become synonymous with clientelism, where public funds are funneled into the pockets of his allies while ordinary citizens struggle to survive. The ongoing violations of civil liberties have ignited the flames of revolt. Under Vucic, media censorship has reached unprecedented levels, with independent journalists facing intimidation and threats. His government acts like a regime afraid of criticism and scrutiny, silencing dissenting voices. This repressive atmosphere only intensifies the determination of protesters, who refuse to accept a government operating in darkness, away from the eyes of citizens. The economic situation is dire as well. With rising prices and high unemployment, the average Serbian citizen faces a bleak reality. Vucic's failure to implement effective economic policies has left people suffering the consequences. Each day brings new challenges, and the government's neglect has further alienated the populace, pushing them to protest against this systematic failure. The government’s response has been brutally harsh. Reports of police violence and unlawful arrests are widely circulated on social media, portraying a desperate regime willing to use force to suppress dissent. This harsh response not only highlights Vucic's weakness but also reinforces the narrative of oppression that drives more people into the streets. Every act of violence deepens the divide between the government and the people. Therefore the dialogue of Serbia with Kosovo is at risk and merely impossible. Vucic's failure to gain the trust of his citizens makes any agreement with #Kosovo appear unstable and unrealistic. A leader losing the confidence of his people cannot successfully negotiate with another state. His efforts to present himself as a peace mediator are merely a facade, hiding the reality of his leadership failures and widespread domestic concerns. The mass protests in Serbia are a call for change, a rejection of the status quo, and a demand for true democracy. As the government resorts to violence and intimidation, it reveals its weakness and desperation. Vucic's must confront the reality that his time is running out; the Serbian people are no longer willing to tolerate a regime characterized by lies, oppression, and corruption. A regime that chooses war before peace. The time for change is now, and the people are ready to fight for it. This situation draws comparisons to the era of Slobodan Milosevic the Butcher of Balkans whose regime was marked by similar tactics of suppression, corruption, and a disconnect from the populace, ruled by warcriminals. Just as Milosevic faced widespread protests that ultimately led to his downfall #Vucic is now confronting a growing resistance that reflects a deeper desire for democratic governance and accountability in Serbia. I urge our allies not to place their trust in Serbia's ultranationalist leaders regarding any processes moving forward. Until there is a leader whom the people truly believe, one who acknowledges the crimes committed in the Balkans and advocates for peaceful, fair elections with neighboring states, #Serbia should not be included in any discussions about EU membership or cooperation with US. #Serbia #MassiveProtests #EU #Dialogue #US @VjosaOsmaniPRKS @albinkurti @BajramBegajAL @ediramaal @USEmbPristina @realDonaldTrump @SecRubio @SecGenNATO @DonaldJTrumpJr @David_Cameron @EmmanuelMacron @_FriedrichMerz @GermanAmbKOS @vonderleyen @kajakallas @aliciakearns @DorisPack2 @DanielSerwer

@AnnaLuehrmann Sovereignty, democracy and rule of law are very concrete benefits for the citizens of Kosova, or as @ExtSpoxEU (in the name of the EU) likes to refer to us "these people".

4 decades the EU has been in appeasing modus "to bring Russia closer" to them. Russia did indeed get much closer: invasion of Ukraine. Having learned nothing (hear hear) the EU is now appeasing Serbia to "bring them closer to EU" by making multi-billion deals & weaponising them.

@sharenao How is opening of a bridge impacting sexual harassment? The prejudiced discourses about "the savage Albanians raping Serbian women", that fueled the 90s fascist "revolution" of Serbian intellectuals against the Albanian population in former YU, belong in the past. Don't u think?
