To amplify this message, our team leveraged the powerful reach of ALU YA GODE 94.3 FM SOKOTO, hosting a live radio sensitization program. The program featured expert discussions on the types and dangers of misinformation, with practical advice on verification methods. With live audience engagement via phone-ins, the radio session reached an estimated audience of thousands across Sokoto and beyond, leaving listeners appreciative and better equipped to address misinformation in their communities. This effort, conducted in collaboration with The Productive Youths Development Initiative (@ProductiveYout1) and supported by @factchecknet employed culturally sensitive approaches tailored to the unique dynamics of Kyadawa and Kadassaka. By equipping communities with practical tools and knowledge, FactCheck Africa demonstrated the transformative potential of grassroots advocacy in combating misinformation, paving the way for more informed and resilient societies. #factcheck #grassroots #development
