CPOs are becoming ICs again: Pawan Gaargi, CPO of @Monumental, personally turned into a front-end developer because you can't credibly lead an AI-native team from the sidelines. The CPO who asks, "can't AI do this in 2 days?" without touching the tools will misjudge in both directions: over-promising where it fails, missing real leverage where it wins. Hands-on fluency is now table stakes at the top of the org. Full episode of Product Talk by @ProductsCount: youtu.be/3aw212mcFsU?si…

When hiring product builders, how do you assess someone's AI-native skills? Everyone has AI on their resume and LinkedIn profile, but what are the questions that reveal the real level of AI fluency? I sat down with Akriti Dokania (investor, PM, and engineer) to discuss this, and she broke it down into 3 levels: -> What have you automated? Not "do you use AI", but what have you actually built and shipped? Akriti has built an agent in a week for the last 6 weeks. 2 -> What has stuck and why? Anyone can throw things at the wall. The real question is: which workflows actually worked, which tools did you use, and how deep can you go explaining why? 3 -> What's NOT working? This is the real tell. AI-native people can articulate exactly where they got stuck, what's still broken, and how they hacked around it. Surface-level AI use = writing emails with ChatGPT. Truly AI-native = you've built, reflected, and pushed through the hard parts. Thank you, Akriti Dokania, venture partner @ridgevc, for sharing your insights with @ProductsCount's community. Loved the conversation. Full episode here: lnkd.in/g6iy-f6F

Here is one of the most practical frameworks I’ve heard for building an AI-enabled team, shared by @burkenstocks, CEO of @descript, from my recent Product Talk by @ProductsCount podcast: Get your team in a room. Draw a T-shape chart. Left column: What do we dislike about our jobs? Right column: What do we love about our jobs? Then use AI aggressively to automate the left column. Free up time. Double down on the right column. That’s how you create a real 100X productivity. This is the kind of grounded, operational thinking happening inside companies, actually building in the AI era. The full Product Talk episode drops soon. Grateful for the insights and clarity, Laura.
