So @AmericanAir did fortunately rebook us, downgrading our seats and saying there will be no meal service due to flight length. A 9-hour cross Atlantic flight is apparently not enough to confirm meal service. You guys really find a new way to disappoint every single flight.

Today through July 5th, 2026, experience a rare piece of American history up close at the George W. Bush Presidential Museum. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to view an original 1833 Peter Force copy of the Declaration of Independence. Commissioned by former Washington, D.C. mayor Peter Force, this remarkable reproduction was created using an 1820 copperplate made by William Stone to preserve the text as the original document began to fade with age.
With only 1,500 copies ever made, this document is considered one of the most faithful representations of the Declaration today and offers a rare chance to connect with the nation’s founding words in a way few ever can.

This is a major issue- I lost count of forms and tablets I filled out for parents. Really little sympathy for those who need help and help is not there since they can't or it is very hard to fill out all of this digitally.

“I work the front desk at a small doctor’s office, and I wish people could see what happens on the other side of the phone. Every day, older patients call us confused. They are told to use the patient portal, upload documents, check lab results online, fill out forms before the visit, and confirm everything through a link. Some of them do not know what a portal is. Some do not have a smartphone. Some have one, but they are afraid to click the wrong thing. Last week, a man in his late 80s called about his test results. He said, “Ma’am, I don’t mean to bother you, but the computer says I have a message and I don’t know how to open it.” He sounded ashamed. That broke my heart. He should not have to feel ashamed for needing a human being. Technology can be helpful. I understand that. But when people who built this country are made to feel helpless because everything became a login and a password, we have gone too far. Not everything needs to be an app. Not every answer should be hidden behind a screen. Sometimes people need a voice. A patient person. A real human who says, “Don’t worry, I can help you.” Progress should not leave seniors behind. Because one day, the world will move faster than us too. And I hope someone is kind enough to slow down. ~Unknown

Hoover Dam is once again going full red-white-and-blue every night through July 4.
The giant American flag will be raised overnight and visible to visitors starting Tuesday morning.
The top-of-dam and Memorial Bridge walkways will stay open until 10 p.m. each night.
