There's an unusually big gap between normie Madisonians and the activists on the Corey Ruiz shooting. It really seems like normies are taking a "slow your roll" approach on this while the activists are full-on calling it an execution, calling for defunding the police, and so on.

The problem with REIT ETFs is that they force you to own the good, the bad, and the ugly.
I do not want exposure to every property sector, every balance sheet, and every management team.
In REIT investing, selectivity matters.
That is why I prefer active investing over ETFs.

@BanUnsweetTea Big problem with modern democracy is how many people just believe in things that aren’t true. Now with social media it’s easy to spread bad ideas among the population and the elite gatekeepers to protect against bad ideas have collapsed.

Reflecting on the 2016 WWC revolt. A lot of people believed tariffs protect American jobs when in reality all they do is drive up cost, increase unemployment, and just move the problem around. Painful lesson, but this is why we haven’t done broad based tariffs since the 1920s

I & every other expected-value nerd takes the 50% chance at a 10x win every time, but there's a case for the "wrong" choice by valuing negative emotions.
