Read what I wrote again we are sparing suffering by boiling and not eating alive like other predators. Boiling: 15–60 seconds for smaller lobsters to lose consciousness, up to ~3 minutes vs Natural predation (e.g., cod or other fish): Ripping/tearing can kill in seconds to minutes via trauma, but swallowed-whole prey can survive 15–25+ minutes inside a stomach—suffocating, being slowly digested by acids and enzymes while still alive. So by comparison we are already being more humane than any other predator is to the lobster.

Switzerland has made it illegal to place live lobsters into boiling water, following increasing scientific evidence that crustaceans may be sentient, capable of experiencing pain. Over recent decades, research has challenged the idea that lobsters operate on simple reflexes alone. Studies suggest their nervous systems are more complex, showing behaviors that go beyond automatic reactions and point toward decision-making under distress. For example, experiments with related species like hermit crabs have shown they will abandon their shells, essential for protection, when exposed to electric shocks. This kind of trade-off suggests an ability to weigh risk in order to avoid harm. Lobsters themselves possess nociceptors, specialized nerve cells that detect damaging stimuli such as heat. When exposed to extreme conditions, they don’t just react momentarily; they can exhibit prolonged behavioral changes, indicating a deeper response. Under the new law, lobsters must be stunned before being cooked, either mechanically or electrically, to reduce suffering. The legislation also bans transporting lobsters on ice, requiring conditions that more closely reflect their natural environment. Supporters view this as a necessary step forward. Many scientists argue that if there is credible evidence an animal can feel pain, it deserves consideration similar to that given to birds and mammals. But this raises a bigger question. With billions of crustaceans used globally each year, and practices varying widely—should other countries begin to rethink how these animals are treated? Bryan Johnson reveals 5-MeO-DMT therapy outperformed every longevity protocol he’s tried "If I compare my experience with 5-MeO to having a better diet, exercising every day, sleeping well, doing sauna, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, this was more efficacious than all of them in terms of a reset of me as a human. It’s just incomparable" "When you sleep well you feel great, when you exercise you feel great, but nothing compares to what 5-MeO did in terms of resetting me as a human"

@AndySwan @WLM_van_Belgie Why does social media equate going to the gym to being healthy in all aspects of life? Like, you should have a heavy drinker and smoker, but if he's buff you'll use how he looks as proof to how healthy he is. Crazy

@solace7x6 @juliey4 Theories and explanations... The facts/data disagree with your view you've constructed about seed oils. They (especially canola oil) are healthy. Nothing you think of will change that.

So you are pro highly processed foods? Commercial seed oils (canola, soybean, sunflower, corn, grapeseed) undergo intensive processing: seed crushing, heating, hexane solvent extraction, refining, bleaching, and deodorizing for shelf stability and high smoke points. Less processed variants like cold-pressed avoid chemicals/heat but cost more and spoil faster. Processing depletes antioxidants (vitamin E, phenols) and risks oxidation, forming inflammatory free radicals in excess.

@CairoInCanada @MrBeast @MmisterNobody Liquid meat? What? It's literally just meat. The exact same. Just grown in a different way. No animals had to go through a life if immense suffering. Seems like a clearly superior option to me.
