This post about income tax payment is viral but wait its not the only option here 🤩 I had to pay 3L worth of stamp duty and registration yesterday and i got about 4% value back. Here's how 👇🏻 I paid 2.5L stamp duty with idfc indigo, since the government mcc is not excluded, i got 5% value back including milestones while paying 1% gateway charges. Checked mcc and it was as expected 9311 as all tax payment falls under 9311 mcc. So i Used SBI cashback card for the 50k registration fee to get 5% cashback and paid 1% gateway charges. Since I don't have bizblack, these are my go to cards for government transactions. One caution is that some portals use mcc 9399 (Government services not classified elsewhere) which falls under the utility for sbi cb card. DYOR and do check mcc before transaction. (Turn off transaction, attempt transaction and call customer care to check or use idfc cards to check after transaction in the app).
