I have no idea why Elon wants to encourage this to be a place for long form video and text pieces. Obviously that’s not what this app was historically and it’s hard to imagine that transforming it into this would cause a viral sensation. How often have you ever shared a link with a friend (to any platform) and said “hey, read this giant article” compared to how often you share a link for a pithy joke or short video? With my luck, it’ll work and I’ll look like an idiot (more than usual, anyway) but it feels completely tone deaf.

When Elmo changed the site to where anybody could see what was in a community, whether the person was accepted to the community or not, I stopped making the content because I didn't want the absolute most scummy ppl on this site (you know who I'm talking about) having access to the knowledge. These days I just tell people to go join one of my mentees ( @quinttrades) in his free Discord chat and get knowledge from him.

I write out long, in-depth posts about deep and dense topics in an easy-to-read format for the average layperson in an attempt to educate on a topic ppl find interesting in the moment, most of them get 2.k views. My 7 word burns or deadpan mockery posts? Up to 5 million. Then again, I don't play the monetization game so it doesn't matter.

As a nation, yes. But "we" .... Many of us are horrified over the lack of morality that most folks from politicians to average Karen's display. The problem is morality exists in a person and cannot be forced upon them. Societal norms, which we have lost, can restrain somewhat.

🚨 ATTENTION Military Personnel Under the Uniform Code of Military Justice and the Manual for Courts-Martial Article 92, there is NO LEGAL CONSEQUENCE OR IMPACT on an individual service member’s duty to obey lawful orders and DISOBEY UNLAWFUL ORDERS. Presidential immunity does not transfigure an unlawful act into one that must be obeyed upon penalty of court-martial. Under U.S. Army Regulation 190-8, Section 1-5(b) it states: "Following superior orders will not be accepted as a defense if the accused knew or should have known that the act ordered was unlawful." Field Manual 27-10, The Law of Land Warfare, Paragraph 509 states: "The fact that a person acted pursuant to order of his Government or of a superior does not relieve him from responsibility under international law, provided a moral choice was in fact possible to him." Department of Defense Law of War Manual Section 18.6.1 states: "Members of the armed forces are bound to obey only lawful orders. An order that violates the law of war is unlawful and must not be obeyed." Department of Defense Law of War Manual Section 18.22.4 states: "Acting Pursuant to Orders Does Not Relieve a Person of Responsibility: The fact that a person acted pursuant to orders of his or her Government or of a superior does not relieve that person from responsibility under international law, provided it was possible in fact for that person to make a moral choice." 5 U.S.C. §2302(b)(9)(D) - makes it ILLEGAL to remove a civil servant "for refusing to obey an order that would require the individual to violate a law." This provision was enacted as part of the Whistleblower Protection Act, in order to protect "the right of American citizens to a law-abiding government." We currently have a rogue, lawless, corrupt, fascist dictator, self proclaimed "king" sitting in the White House. It is YOUR duty - as members of the United States Military - to uphold your oath to the United States Constitution, and your oath to defend this country against domestic enemies.
