On November 7, 2025, NDP MP Leah Gazan defended her push to criminalize so-called residential school “denialism.” Her original Bill C-413 did not pass. Then she came back with Bill C-254. That bill would amend the Criminal Code for statements about residential schools that politicians decide are “condoning,” “denying,” “downplaying,” “justifying,” or “misrepresenting facts.” Ask questions, you get attacked. Demand evidence, and they want the Criminal Code dragged into it. Canada was told 215 bodies were found at Kamloops. Years later, we are told about anomalies. But instead of proving the claim with evidence, the political class wants to punish people for questioning the narrative. Residential schools were real. Abuse was real. But asking for proof of a specific public claim is not hate. It is the bare minimum in a country that still pretends facts matter.

Not a chance. The use of reasonable force is already permitted. PP wants permission for home owners to use unreasonable force in defense of their home. How American is that!

Who supports @PierrePoilievre new law initiative equivalent to the USA Castle law that would provide you the legal framework to protect your family & home from invaders !

@CHEK_News When you are been boarded by the national military/coast guard, the prudent skipper stops the boat and waits for instructions These videos show boats being boarded at speed Failure to stop falls under the international FAAFO laws, which apply in Canada as well No sympathy here

@RMV1248 UNDRIP is a declaration of the general assembly of the United Nations. In 2019, British Columbia became the first jurisdiction in the world to apply UNDRIP domestically as law through the DRIPA. The federal government applied it across Canada through legislation in 2021.

Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Juri Fulmer, and Caroline Elliott have each prioritized removing UNDRIP from our laws and ending the grievance-based transfer of money, land, and power. They all say they’ll stop gender transitions for minors and appreciate the need for deep economic reform. Any one of them would be a major improvement over the previous status quo under Rustad. No politician is perfect. I think Findlay demonstrates the strongest commitment to these promises. Elliott has broad appeal, which matters in a general election. And Fulmer has demonstrated charisma, a willingness to take risks, and business success to draw from, which is critical for execution. All three will be on my ballot, and I would be willing to support any one of them if elected. Milobar and Black will not be on my ballot. Milobar carries too much water for the reconciliation industry, and Black strikes me as a phony, pandering Liberal — precisely the kind of politician so many of us joined the BC Conservatives to be rid of. Whatever your ballot looks like, happy voting, everyone!

@RafeefGarbi The choice is between Canadian AI centres or non Canadian AI centres. Same as if we want to use Canadian oil or oil from half way around the world from a war torn area that does not respect human rights or carbon capture.

@VancouverSun Like oil, your country should be AI independent. The alternative is to import it at a greater cost with less security. Just identify the politicians supporting this march and ask yourself if there is anyone who could represent you better.

@SeanCarleton Both the BC Conservatives and One BC are centre right parties. They promise to keep all the social health care & education spending, with strict controls on corporate/FN hand outs. They promise transparency in taxation and spending, which is greatly lacking under the BC-NDP.

Were those members, including retired ones who are now right-wing content creators and conspiracy theorists, celebrating residential schools and downplaying the RCMP’s role in serving and protecting the genocidal system? Here you go: canadiandimension.com/articles/view/…
NPF-FPN@npffpn

RCMP Members and Veterans were intentionally tricked into critical and humiliating interviews for a taxpayer-funded CBC/APTN production. We are calling for an immediate halt and a full inquiry into how this was approved, funded, and executed. Read our full release: npf-fpn.com/news-item/rcmp…

Why did the #VPD put out a public statement falsely stating that the Park Board cut funding for patrols, when no request was made or denied? Why did the Mayor's Office publish similar statements simultaneously? #FactsMatter #vanpoli
Howard Chow@DeputyChow

#VPD doesn’t set closing hours for parks & beaches. We assist in closing when required. Often when we don’t, we’re back later in the evening dealing with assaults & fights. Like most beaches around North America there are defined closing times. #SafetyAfterDark #FactsMatter

@timthielmann Not to nit pick but, UNDRIP is federal legislation that is “aspirational” with no legal/legislative teeth, which is why no one is sharing FN title outside of BC. No need to repeal. DRIPA is “UNDRIP” adopted as law in BC by AG Eby. We can & must repeal DRIPA.

@RMV1248 What DRIPA does is make UNDRIP legally enforcible in British Columbia. So it is accurate to say that we need to remove UNDRIP from our laws. Not to be pedantic. :-)

Today, we remember the passengers of the Komagata Maru and reflect on a painful chapter in Canadian history. In 1914, 376 passengers seeking opportunity and a better life arrived in Vancouver Harbour, only to be denied entry because of discriminatory immigration policies. Forced to remain aboard the ship for two months under difficult conditions, they were ultimately turned away. The boat returned to India and many of the passengers were imprisoned or killed. The incident remains a powerful reminder of the harm caused by prejudice and discrimination, and the importance of building communities grounded in respect and equal treatment for all.

I remember when this story first came out, there were a few things I was cautious about. I was vocal about the media term "mass graves". Initially their findings were based on ground penetrating radar, in which you confirm the anomalies by excavation. From the accounts of the story, it sounded like this was their next step. Today, people are filling in their own narrative because there is a lack of information. Or the information provided lacks the next steps. But technology is changing and there are ways of limiting the uncertainty without excavating. "When radar is combined with two other search methods – human-remains detection dogs and a new technology called soil spectroscopy, searchers can determine with almost 100-per-cent certainty whether buried remains are present, according to Kisha Supernant, Director of the University of Alberta’s Institute of Prairie and Indigenous Archaeology." Searches like these take time. With a combination of new technology, we will get answers.
