It's a common argument, Austin's budget is so big because we run so many enterprises. Perhaps we just don't run them well? The more I learn about the airport, the more frustrated I become with the incompetent management and planning. There's no end to the BS.

In a closed door White House meeting with Texas Republican House Reps last week, Steven Miller started off by asking if Texas had a "RINO problem" which led to some awkward silence. At one point, @charliegeren left the meeting seemingly frustrated over the "RINO" talk.

Now that Senatorial District Conventions are out of the way. I am announcing my re-election to the State Republican Executive Committee as Committeeman for State Senate District 21. Over the past two years I've had the pleasure of traveling up and down the district (16 counties) visiting with local, county, and state officials representing the central - South Central Texas, discussing local, county, state, federal, and even some international issues. While not all 16 counties are active party wise, the voices in these counties still mattered to me and I listened to them and helped them where I could. Things as simple as going on a Capitol tour to contacting their legislators on an issue to writing or testifying on bills that mattered to them. Representation, mentorship, and being a voice for those who want and need to be heard has always been a hallmark of my political philosophy. While I may not always agree with a position or stance, my job is to represent you and elevate that for it to be decided where it matters.
