As a former waterbomber pilot who used to lead an aerial firefighting fleet, I can tell you “send help” is an extremely dishonest framing by the Canadian government. The Canadian government routinely blocks U.S. firefighting companies from attacking fires in Canada, while aggressively sending their government-subsidized aircraft to the U.S. to earn commercial rates from the U.S. taxpayer. It’s big business for them and they run it like a Chinese protectionist racket.

Trump has removed hundreds of thousands of non-citizens from Social Security. It's not fraud when this happens and the government knows... it is corruption. This is real. This was something people challenged us on and said was not taking place as we have been posting on it non-stop for a year and not only are we vindicated, they took action! Trump's administration, working with DOGE, has canceled or blocked Social Security benefits and numbers for nearly 300,000 illegal aliens and over 100,000 from Medicare. They are tightening eligibility, flagging improper numbers, and removing people who should not be drawing benefits. This matters and the timing is critical. Every ineligible recipient removed helps slow the drain on the trust fund that generations of American workers paid into with every paycheck. It extends the life of Social Security for the people who actually funded it. Why wasn’t this done sooner? Because for decades both parties looked the other way. Politicians benefited from expanded beneficiary rolls, business lobbies wanted cheap labor, and enforcement was treated as politically dangerous. Our politicians catered to the very folks collecting these benefits. Previous administrations chose not to rock the boat. Trump is the first modern president to treat protecting the system for American citizens as a real priority instead of kicking the can down the road. This is generational accountability in action. ANOTHER major employer is leaving Illinois. At some point, we have to stop pretending this is normal. Juliana Stratton has been Lieutenant Governor for seven years. During that time, Illinois has watched one major company after another move jobs and headquarters elsewhere. That’s her record. Now she’s asking voters to send her to Washington. It should be noted that Canada clutches its pearls, claiming the USA should send “support” to assist Canada is fighting wildfires instead of blaming them for mismanagement.  However, reciprocity is a big problem. Most of the firefighting takes place as an outcome of private-public contracts for costs. The Canadian government blocks U.S. companies from fighting fires in Canada because the Canadian government wants to only pay Canadian companies and workers.  U.S. firefighting is not allowed to assist in Canada and get reimbursed. Conversely, the Canadians quickly want to come to the U.S. to fight fires because the USA reimburses firefighting companies at a higher rate than Canada.  The USA has no federal restrictions on Canadian firefighting assistance. Canadian firefighting professionals would rather fight forest fires in the USA because they make more money.  There is no incentive for U.S. firefighting professionals to volunteer their time and effort without getting reimbursed; which is the position of Canada. In essence, come to Canada and fight our fires for free because we will only pay Canadians.  However, also, let our Canadian firefighters come to the USA and make money.  It is a very Canadian argument. It was great to see so many foreigners enjoy themselves in the US and have positive reactions to Americans. But some of this was sad because it was clear that many had absurd preconceived notions due to mass media in their countries, especially in Europe.
