This is just the latest example of Sunni caliphs and Sunni ulama abrogating the shariah that they profess to be immutable and attack others for adjusting; meanwhile they go ahead and alter that shariah themselves. We Ismailis are at least honest and transparent about our approach to the shariah and what can be changed over time.

As a Muslim, this is basically an accurate representation of the times we are in. The true scholars of Islam are amazing because they actually know and follow the faith. The “modern Muslim” is basically a bozo trying to follow the trashy western values that don’t benefit anyone, like drugs and rap. The downtrend of the Muslim “empires” came with the leaving of faith and the move towards secular ideals. So now, so many Muslims, particularly in the west are basically “culturally” Muslim. To them the faith is about what to wear or eat and not on the foundations of knowledge etc. This is something that is discussed in the texts as well. That as the Muslims leave their faith they will continue to struggle until they change themselves.

I relate a lot to Islamic scholars and appreciate their logic but I find a huge amount of Muslim people to be hypocritical, animalistic and retarded. It’s the opposite for Christian’s. I relate a lot to Christian people but find Christian scholars and leaders to be low grade conmen and evil eyed devils. Anyone have any theories as to why that is? I know I’m not alone in that.
