Very sad to see so much hate and fear in the world today. People showing the ugliness within. And the pride and passion behind the hate. Be kinder people. Take a deep breath. Chill. Listen. Learn. Grow. A thread on my thoughts…

@realJ_Mitchell While protecting kids in this way does bring government involvement, our elected officials do have a responsibility to protect people from companies that would harm or exploit them. Having government accessing our info isn’t great, but unrestrained access for oligarchs is worse

@Jessa_McLean Resistance to war crimes is terrorism. Sigh. We knew Carney was a red conservative but this is ridiculous. So much for Canada standing up for international law… just like before our leaders are complicit as long as it is racialized people being murdered, displaced or oppressed

While most 👀 are on Iran… The occupation is violently trying to expand into south 🇱🇧 Forced evacuations, illegal munitions, constant drone presence and even ground troops. 🇨🇦 classifies resistance to this as terrorism. We have always been the bad guys.

BREAKING: Israel is bombing Red Cross centers and doctors in South Lebanon while unleashing white phosphorus on civilian areas. These are war crimes and crimes against humanity. And not a peep from the complicit international community, of course.

@PierrePoilievre You consistently oppose raising the minimum wage for people struggling to buy groceries. You cant hide your voting record. You campaign instead on huge tax cuts for corporations, and their wealthy owners and execs. Both you and Carney put profits over people. Shameful.

BREAKING: Annual Food Price Report shows Canadian families paying over $800 more for groceries this year compared to last. After a decade of Liberal inflation and high taxes on food, too many Canadians can't even afford to eat. Cap spending, cut waste, and axe all grocery taxes to bring families affordable food: conservative.ca/cpc/stop-taxin…

This is probably going to go unreported but this might be the most shocking thing any talking head has ever said on television. He straight up just said we should murder all homeless people.
Housing 4 All is Hot@ahouse4all

A Fox News anchor saying "Or involuntary lethal injection or something just kill them" about people living on the streets live on air. This and the dehumanization that comes from this - is what political violence looks like.

❗️BREAKING❗️Rescuers killed in line of duty. Scenes like this unfold every moment in Gaza, often unseen, largely undocumented. I beg STATES: how much more must be witnessed before you act to stop this carnage? 🔴Break the blockade 🔴Impose an Arms Embargo 🔴Impose Sanctions.

So my account has a “temporary label”. I’ve been sans internet for a week so I’m not sure what kind of behaviour I’ve been supposedly engaging in online. Anyone else have this happen? Has anyone seen any suspicious posts from this account?

Nearly 2 years of daily carnage that the body refuses to digest. The fortune of being just spectators: 'just' phones & computers engulfed by horrid crime scenes. The sense of guilt for not being able to stop killers and white collar mosters. The genocide sickness becomes aphasy.

Calling every Palestinian in Gaza “Hamas” has normalized every killing, rape, torture and act of destruction. Forgive us, Marwa, Motaz, Montaser,& the dozens of thousands already lost -along with the millions still trapped in this genocide- for being so late, slow, and complicit.

For those saying “union leaders should have been thrown in jail” for defying order that Air Canada flight attendants return to work, Curious as to what punishment should be ordered against @amazon executives who fired 4500 workers in Quebec to punish them for unionizing. Jail?

@CFIB For you to assert that businesses and business owners do not violate labour laws or government orders is just an absurd take. We can see your role. We understand who you speak for. We understand you are anti-worker rights. Thank you for the obligatory statement.

Imagine the reaction if an employer chose to ignore a government order. That should be the reaction of us all when a union does it. We need better ways to resolve labour disputes at major federally regulated workplaces, especially ones that have as broad an economic impact as the illegal strike among Air Canada workers. Workers need to return while a deal is done.

@CanadianPolling There are groups who are not allowed to strike. That is for a reason. For everybody else, the right to strike is a legally protected right. The government does have the ability to end a strike, but that ability to override workers’ rights should not be used so casually.
