As a State Representative, I was proud to successfully co-sponsor a series of new laws to defend and protect our immigrant communities.
Yesterday, several bills were signed into law: holding fascist ICE agents accountable when they violate our constitutional rights through private right-of-action, closing a deportation loophole that has torn families apart over minor offenses, preventing ICE from targeting our neighbors at our courthouses, and protecting voters from intimidation at the polls.
As our next Mayor, I’ll bring that same commitment to Providence. We will not be complacent, we will fight to protect our immigrant neighbors and make it clear that our city stands with working families, not fear or intimidation.
