Peter Thiel went to college then Stanford law. Obviously had the IQ for stem. Question is why did everyone high IQ who wandered to be “successful” go into law or finance and not STEM. “Everyone just did.” Obviously. But why. It’s a hard question to answer.

If you have the IQ for EE, but can’t find a job, it’s not cuz you’re a white male. Discrimination against white men happens at the management corporate roles internally (Google, Apple, absolutely are bigoted). Not for getting a job tho especially if you have EE horsepower.

I don’t believe anyone saying they got a B.S. in Electrical Engineering but can’t find a job. I don’t run a recruiting agency but could easy find placements for these people (unless they are real head cases).

My fellow academics. We are not an eccesiological aristocracy unaccountable to the public, nor are our disciplines such authoritative magisteria that scholars can not raise critiques across domains. If your abstract reads as absurd to colleagues, write a better abstract/1

A 120 IQ teenager could be trained to be a doctor in under 4 years, but the median doctor salary is $227,000 This is the real conversation about healthcare we should be having
