Not since Brendan Rodgers showed up at the Bernabeu with one of the worst line-ups I have ever seen have I been that embarrassed by Liverpool than I was last night. I have backed Arne Slot on the basis that he's been slightly unlucky, especially in situations where we haven't taken chances and conceded with the first shot. But last night, he lost all composure, confused the players, and ultimately put out one of the worst tactical plans I have seen since Rodgers' infamous night in Europe. When a manager starts to abandon his principles out of desperation, you know the writing is on the wall.

Luis Diaz is a winger who turns 29 next season. He has great work rate, but that is all I can say. He has no consistent sort of goal threat, creativity, whilst being incredibly greedy and a player who doesn’t pass, and consistently dribbles into traffic. Someone at Bayern has to be sacked, because who on earth is doing the recruitment to think that €67 Million is an appropriate offer?
