Oh yeah, the EOD group was great, my gripe was with the units they got attached to for route clearance missions. I’m only speculating, but we did a few weeks of hand off and I had a lot of red flags going off against them. The replacements were smoking their guys for the littlest stuff when they showed up. I just knew their morale was going to tank treating the enlisted like that. There was no brotherhood, very executive type culture, do as I say or else… Ramadi was a place for high trust. IDK… that was my experience is all. I could be wrong.

@RealMarkDEddy @BlastingThrough I was at Camp Ramadi Oct 05 thru Mar 06. GySgt Burghardt was one of the EOD team leaders there, and they had a great CO. Glad to made it home safe, Ramadi and that area of Anbar was not a cake walk.

We have a joke in EOD that we are glorified garbage collectors. In truth, we are First Responders. We rid the world of hazardous munitions and explosives. Not every incident is dramatic. Most aren’t. We pick up the ordnance, transport it safely, and destroy it properly. We do this hundreds of times. The VERY SAME DAY, bank accounts associated with Greg Biffle and his wife were CHANGED and including all emails, passwords, and phone numbers. Even his Greg Biffle's wife's VENMO ACCOUNT was hacked. Fraudulent checks were ALSO cashed out during this time period, plundering his bank account. Then, days later, what appears to be a woman with intimate knowledge of all security cameras BROKE INTO BIFFLE'S HOME, and stole $30,000 in cash, guns, and jewelry. Police now believe that MULTIPLE people were involved with trying to steal EVEN MORE money from Greg Biffle after he, his wife, and his kids tragically passed away in a plane crash.
