A Class 5 student, who was to celebrate her birthday tomorrow, lost her life in an accident that was not her fault - dreams shattered. Children should be able to walk, cycle, or travel safely to school. But our roads resemble a war zone - filled with potholes, uncleared debris from desilted drains, and encroached pavements.

A 10-year-old girl, Tanvi Krishna, was killed after a BMTC bus (KA57 F 5375) ran over her near Kogilu Cross, Yelahanka, on Thursday morning. The bike she was riding pillion on with her mother skidded. Tanvi, a Class 5 student, was on her way to school. @BMTC_BENGALURU
