Personally, I won’t tolerate the excuses. The government has this one wrong. It knows it’s doing all it can to help big business, large energy companies, bankers and the City through this inflationary period. And it’s delivering a cover up by blaming public sector workers.

The industrial action was yesterday, not today; was about proposed cuts to jobs and pensions, not about pay; and was undertaken by 10,000 tube staff, not just drivers. So, top notch journalism all round. And you say they should be fired!

The average tube driver earns £56k for a 36 hour week, plus bonuses, and gets 43 days annual leave. No wonder they never leave! Today they're bringing misery to millions of Londoners by going on strike to demand an even better deal. Change the law, and fire the lot of them!

@weloveallthat @Beeestonia They're not from Nottingham, they're from Sleaford & they think that people who complain about rapists being referred to as men (if they 'identify' as women) are bigots. Sad (I used to be a fan) but true - saw the comments on their twitter feed a couple of weeks ago.
