Surprised how lopsided this is. Kyrou is the better goal scorer and that’s what the Sens need. Also don’t need another centre, have to think Kyrou would cost less too after his down season.

@politicstcan I'm in for the small sample argument, I just think it makes more sense to some leeway to young players for having trouble in the playoffs vs a 8 year vet

Seeing the takes about how Brady is not a playoff performer like Matthew...do people not remember Matthew lost his first three playoff series and had 3 goals and 5 points in 15 games (Brady already has 4 goals and 7 points in 10)

@NHLFoley And I'm surprised! Maybe if we're talking in the 5-10 range but I feel a class is usually defined by the top 3-4 guys and they feel way stronger in 23 and 24. I just remember there being much higher expectations for Fantilli/Carlsson and the 2024 D vs Misa/Frondell and the 2026 D

I think the 2027 top-10 is the best in recent memory, just above 2026’s group. We’re on an upswing after some quiet bunches to start the 2020s. I think that peaks in 2027 - though I’ll admit to not being as versed in 2028 and beyond as my peers

@JFreshHockey Is the main difference individual chance creation? The only B6 guys on USA that did much of anything were Hughes and Tage, two guys who are very adept at creating chances for themselves. I don't have the microstats but are any of Canada's B6 guys even close to that level?

i have no idea. there are guys i really really rate as NHL stars who looked totally uninspiring in this tournament (and the same was true in 4 Nations too)

Not trying to be messy, but it seems silly to compare D-0 point totals when coming out Mack wasn't supposed to be a world beater on offense. His whole thing was the 2 way motor and he finished 3rd in scoring. Doing this comparison for a 1 way player seems loose
