The west coast of the US, especially the Pacific Northwest, has the most elite summers in the USA. Everyone knows this. NYC isn’t even top 10.

Summer in NYC is the best place in the USA btw

@JerryAl51982824 @DividendTalks @grok what percent of Microsoft’s annual gross income comes from windows sales?
English

@DividendTalks Before investing into $MSFT ask yourself how much longer will Windows be relevant? A bloated and overly complex OS in the age of streamlined apps and AI is not a good bet

@Auto_Revving @WSJ I’ve been thinking the same thing about barrier to entry. It’s like when the internet became more accessible yet few could build a site.
Now you can drag and drop with squarespace (or AI) yet does everyone we know have a money making website? No
But, we can build them easily

@Staceballs I visited one recently in southern Oregon and talk about weird
Went at night to watch sports, sat at the bar having drinks and people swearing shouting etc, normal bar activity, except you’re simultaneously sitting next to families and kids eating pancakes 😂

Does a glass of orange juice really have the same amount of sugar as soda?
During my conversation with 'Glucose Goddess' Jessie Inchauspé, she unpacked what actually happens in your body when you drink juice...
Whole fruit contains fibre and water, which slow how quickly sugar enters your bloodstream. But when you juice it, that fibre disappears.
What you’re left with is mostly water and sugar, and she pointed out that a glass of orange juice contains roughly the same amount of sugar as a soda - around 25 grams!
Do you still see juice as healthy?

@RampCapitalLLC @orphcorp As someone who is currently high stressed (new job, new city, lots of travel, dog having health issues, I have my own) an has experimented with mouth tape during sleep (I snore, not overweight, just a natural mouth breather when sleeping)
This really piqued my interest

This is gonna sound weird but read this book and try a 1-mo challenge of journaling and meditating. I have a specific protocol I could share.
The book is Mind Your Body amzn.to/4qUGsMM. It’s about nervous system regulation and essentially rewiring your brain.
You can also supplement with Dr Sarno books as well but Nichole builds on them. I’m actually considering writing a long form post on this to explain my own results.
English

ok let's try this
for some years now, I have been struggling with persistent fatigue (that does not improve with sleep), joint pain & muscle tenderness (workouts also cause notably slow recovery), persistent neck/shoulder/upper back tightness & tenderness (neck pain improved slightly with Sarno), and of course broader inability to focus (been diagnosed with ADHD).
I have learnt to work around it, but it still feels like I am operating at ~20% of what I can.
Some bullets:
- No single notable event/cause
- in my early 30s
- Sleep apnea test only suggested borderline sleep apnea
- I have chronic allergic rhinitis (histamine intolerance?) which likely contributes to the apnea and causes long bouts of mouth breathing
- Frequent bloating, either with or without meals
- Sugar cravings
- I am a bit overweight with persistent visceral fat, though I also have fairly high muscle mass
- Sweat easily, some degree of heat intolerance
- Have MTHFR genes
- Vit D is persistently low (~15), B2 was low (2.5μg) though I assume some of it might be stored in fat tissue
- Homocysteine was at 13 last year, now lowered to 11
- HRV stuck around 20ms
- Paradoxically strong glutathione status overall
- Fecal secretory IgA very high (>7500mcg/mL)
- Very high presence of gut bacteria across the Bacteroidetes phylum (Bacteroides uniformis, Phocaeicola vulgatus, Barnesiella spp., Odoribacter spp.)
- Energy metabolism comes out low across Citric Acid, cis-Aconitic Acid, Isocitric Acid, α-Ketoglutaric Acid, and Succinic Acid
- Older glycans test showed high levels of inflammation
Things I have tried:
- AIP diet for four months (slight improvement in focus, RHR went from 69->63, but otherwise no big felt improvements)
- MTHFR supplementation, with no felt improvements
- Supplementing 10g creatine daily (no felt improvement)
- Tested negative for SIBO and Candida
- Thyroid looks good? (latest labs with FT4 at 1.43ng/dL and TSH at 1.0400 μIU/mL)
- For ADHD tried ritalin, and it notably only worked the first time, then stopped (I cannot try heavier stims due to having the Long QT gene)
- Meditation (helps)
- Antihistamines in case of histamine intolerance (no felt improvement)
What I can’t figure out is:
Is this primarily:
A) Sleep-breathing/autonomic-driven
B) Gut-driven inflammation
C) Methylation + B vitamin related
E) Some combination of all of the above
If you’re someone who’s dealt with a similar cluster (fatigue + ADHD dysregulation + gut issues + high-ish homocysteine + low D + borderline sleep apnea), I’d genuinely appreciate any ideas or insight into what to try next.
