Collin Murray-Boyles' impact was made clear his rookie year... Defensive savant. High-feel connective passer. Off the charts anticipation for his age, often 3 steps ahead. Opportunistic scorer and rebounder too. Will be a disruptor for quite some time.

@Jomboy_ Coming back to this tweet because the games are almost unwatchable even on tv now because after every pitch they blast a sound effect. Make it stop

BREAKING: Boston Celtics All-NBA star Jayson Tatum will play this season and could make his debut on Friday against the Dallas Mavericks – less than 10 months after surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon.

So how can this be solved? We are 4 years in and the guy who was drafted 1st overall is a suboptimal offensive engine who doesn’t drastically alter the game on either end. The obvious answer would be to scale Paolo down into a more defined role where his weaknesses aren’t as profound and he can leave a bigger impact, but there’s a lot of unanswered questions. Is his skillset one that’s even viable for scaling down?

The Wizards are expected to sign Anthony Davis and Trae Young to long-term deals, per @TimBontemps

@YardsPerGretch Optics matter though. They influence beliefs. When things go downhill, everything gets shaky. He is a great offensive mind so he will have a role in the league for awhile. Sometimes coaches are better as coordinators. Maybe I am wrong but this seems like the case.

Trae Young’s 2021 run will be remembered.

Liverpool have “won” 17 matches this season on xG. Wrote about why this is meaningless info for a good chunk of games. xPoints tables help contextualise their real performance levels, but a lack of game-state awareness makes them pretty flawed too. nytimes.com/athletic/68814…
