There is a widely held belief in high finance that, irrespective of the President, all Presidents offer the market a “put”. Sometimes we call it a Fed Put. Other times we call it a Treasury Put (remember TARP). But the point is the same and it is always there. This “put” is jargon to say, simply, if markets go down severely, you can show up at the WH and always sell things to The Administration in charge. They will find a sinkhole of money to use. If they don’t have the money, they will print it. This has happened in every administration over the past 25 years including Trump 1.0. It was conventional wisdom. Here is a good clip worth a few seconds to watch. It is a well reasoned argument that attempts to explain the underlying reasons why under Trump 2.0, there may not be a “Trump put” or “Fed put”. If this plays out, we are at the beginning of a radical change in long term fiscal and monetary policy. If so, the ripple effects will last for 100s of years. These changes will be initially hard to digest but can lead to a durable American Renaissance.

I don’t have a side in any debate here…. I’m honestly trying to understand what @saylor is going and if we’ve ever seen anything like this before. This feels like it’s tipping into memestock madness… at least if the ratio of bitcoin holdings to corporate valuation dips below 90% Why would anyone pay $1 for 80 or 90 cents worth of bitcoin?

So you’re taking out loans against your bitcoin holdings in order to buy a LOT more bitcoin… … which lowers the supply of bitcoin … which makes bitcoin go up … which makes the stock go up … which creates a gap between the bitcoin holdings and the corporate valuation (what’s this ratio today?) … which makes folks short the stock … which creates a short squeeze … which makes the stock go up … which makes the gap between holdings and valuation higher … and allows more loans against the stock! Innovative! Are there any risks?
