Today, during the Ukraine–NATO Council meeting, many countries said they see Ukraine in NATO. And that is absolutely true. No one said they don’t want to see us there, but some remain silent on the matter. As they say about both the EU and NATO – unanimity is required. As for the EU, we do have unanimity. As for NATO, we do not yet. But I believe that most countries truly understand that Ukraine in NATO is something NATO needs no less than Ukraine does. I believe that even the Russians need Ukraine to be in NATO. Because in the future, it could be painful for them if Ukraine is not in NATO. Today @ofgem announced the next energy price cap.   We've already acted – cutting the price cap by £117 from April, expanding the Warm Home Discount to 6m households & freezing fuel duty.   Ahead of winter, we’ll continue to monitor the situation and plan for all contingencies.

I am truly appalled at the video posted by Israeli Cabinet Minister Ben-Gvir taunting those involved in the Global Sumud Flotilla. This violates the most basic standards of respect and dignity in the way people should be treated. We are in touch with the families of a number of British nationals involved to provide them with consular support. We have demanded an explanation from the Israeli authorities and made clear their obligations to protect the rights of our citizens and all those involved.

I have every confidence that President Trump fully understands the situation with Iran and will not continue to tolerate a refusal to negotiate in good faith along with Iran’s defiant aggression in the Strait of Hormuz and throughout the region.  It is abundantly clear to me that Iran has been very weakened militarily and economically. But at the same time, they have become more emboldened and aggressive.   A short but forceful response now would reset the conflict in all the right ways.  When it comes to Iran, it is imperative that we negotiate from a position of strength and dominance. We must finish what we started. I fear continuing negotiations without a forceful response prolongs the conflict, gives our allies doubt and will further embolden the Iranian terrorist regime.
