The recount in Masaka also miraculously found new votes that were not cast on the 15th. While the total votes cast on the 15th as counted by the @UgandaEC were 59,499, including invalid votes, in yesterday’s recount the votes allocated to all the candidates total to 60,735. And they don’t include invalid votes and the votes in the several ballot boxes that were found tampered with. In the same district, 59,342 votes were cast in the presidential race. Just when you think you have seen the worst impunity and shamelessness! What a country! #JudiciaryOnTrial

Hon. @Mbidde on losing Buweekula MP race: I have never won an election where the voters are below Senior Six or its equivalent. I have always won elections where voters are Senior Six and above. From the time I was Guild President, I have won the East African Legislative Assembly parliamentary race twice, serving for a total of ten years. I was elected Vice President of DP at a Delegates Conference composed largely of voters who were Senior Six and above, and I was unopposed almost four times. However, when it comes to elections dominated by #Wazoks and #Palokas, I have not won. So, for me, I believe it is only natural to expect that outcome.

At Masaka Chief Magistrates Court where we are facing off with a complaint lodged by our opponent, Hon. Ssempijja who is seeking a recount despite having been defeated by a margin of over 2000 votes. We don’t know if a recount would miraculously overturn the common sense mathematics but we are also suspicious about the confidence with which our opponent is lodging his complaint, and the recent raid of the district headquarters where suspicious activities occurred also raises eye brows. I dont know how to say this but i think Ugandans need to start respecting the decision of the people of Kira. They being residents know exactly what they did and why they did it. It’s absolutely ridiculous to start calling their decisions bogus simply because you assume they should have chosen otherwise. Leaders are built. They sometimes learn on the Job. When President Museveni and his supporters say Bobi Wine doesn’t have the experience to run a country, that’s exactly what you are trying to mean with Semujju and George Musisi here. Where do you want someone to get experience from? Their mother’s stomach? Ridiculous huh? Give people chance to perform. George Musisi didn’t come by mistake. He is a lawyer. Members of Parliament are referred to as law makers. Tell me someone who has a better chance and understanding of the law than a layer? He presented his manifesto to the people and they understood it and chose him. Meanwhile These are the very people who Voted for Semujju for 15 consecutive years. Or 3 terms in office. They believed in him until today. And it’s not only Semujju. We have people like Segona, Mpugga, Among others who people think are the best MPs yet the people have chosen otherwise based on their community needs. It actually baffles me when I see these conversations being discussed more by regime apologists and some other NRM members. Isn’t it supposed to be your happiness now that he’s not going to torment you? Or maybe voters don’t just want someone who talks but rather someone who walks the talk and does actual work for his constituents. I don’t think someone will wake up and leave a good partner for another NO. Some partners look good on the outside yet they’re very terrible persons to their partners. I don’t mean to say that he is but why would the people of Kira drop an Angel for someone they barely know? Ask yourselves whyyyy. Like Semujju Nganda himself said, Politics should not be a do or die. You don't force yourself on people, if people like you, they will send you to represent them, if they feel like you've done enough for them, they will allow you to rest. You don't need to cheat to rule over people who don't like you. I’m super proud of him for finding the time to concede defeat and not blame anyone for his failure to be reelected. If Musisi fails to meet people’s expectations, Semujju will bounce back to parliament with a landslide victory. All he has to do it remain relevant which I believe he will. Musisi should once and again consult with him on how best to address the problems of the people of Kira. That’s how mature politics should be. It’s not about big men and women ego, it’s about the betterment of society. Anyway Duke, go and sleep. You have work tomorrow.
