Being a country singer is like an infinite money hack because all you need to do is write songs about trucks, beer, and being country

@NephiKindofGuy I honestly can’t wait for the Optimus to be available for purchase even tho it will probably be terrible at first. If it’s like a Tesla it will get better with every over the air update

@RsrvtionRidge Exactly, but post after post , it's wild. Zero ability to see that unrealized yet, or unrealistic now. What IQ level is that?

@wndyW1LL0w We pay a neighbor girl $10 ($70 for the week) but that’s probably too much. I would think between $5-$10 per day

How much would you pay a 5, 9 and 11yr old neighbors to help feed your cats AM and PM for one week while you were on vacay? (they would be splitting the pay)

@SLCPaladin @grok critique this post. Seems like a cherry picked quote from the response of a few people, the day that the people learned of it.

O'Leary made the same promises in Alberta that he's making in Utah. This project launched with the same pitch - jobs, growth, minimal impact. Here's the reality two years in: construction pushed back to 2028, an agriculture region already in drought now fighting for its water supply, and emissions projections so severe researchers say it could set Alberta's environmental gains back 20 years. Now he wants to do the same thing here, next to a Great Salt Lake already 6.1 feet below its minimum healthy level. 3,000+ Utahns already said no. It's time our leaders listened.

Husband has spent many hours over the last 3 months studying for his PE exam (3 nights a week after the baby goes to bed + extra time on weekends). He took the grueling 8hr exam last Tuesday and we just got news this morning that he passed! I’m so proud of him!

An elderly widow in my ward gave me some green chillies Friday. I didn’t have a use for them, and by last night, they were a bit soft. So whilst my noodle dough was resting, I cooked some Indonesian sambal ijo for the first time. It turned out great! Mildly spicy and so moreish!

I was craving noodle soup with kimchi last night but had none of the instant packets. I wondered how hard it might be to just make the noodles myself. Answer: not very, and the results were far better than any factory food. New skill unlocked! 😎

An hour later: talking to bro, she may have dated me solely because she got rejected by the same bro. I was going to marry this girl. Not confirmed, but my feelings of regret, anguish, and heartbreak are completely gone. Big if true. I got really lucky. Never dating again.

@GarandThumb1 That she says she loves me, but doesn’t want to be with me. Gun related because of mouth feel.

@CoalitionUtah Cloud seeding is a good thing in Utah. It is good for snowpack, good for environment, good for people trying to drink water and water their lawns. Any chemicals they use for water molecules to attach to are in lower concentrations than in nature. @grok critique my response.

@TomMoyerUT Yeah, the water is a nothingburger really. The worst you can say is that farm use is more beneficial than industrial use.

People need to get a grip. Yes - there’s a water crisis in the west. No - data centers and thermal power generation aren’t the issue. They round to zero. Focusing on the wrong things makes the problem harder to solve, not easier.
Christopher Barnard@ChrisBarnardDL

Colorado River…with or without data centers Projected water usage for data centers out West is 0.001% of Colorado River flow (that’s an aggressive estimate) It’s like being angry at the bathroom faucet that drips a drop a hour, while leaving the kitchen faucet on full blast

@i_Dunadan Looks beautiful. Hopefully it can stay as is. But if not then I take comfort in the fact that we have so much public land in Utah that serves as a birthright gift of natural beauty and rugged wilderness for myself and future generations to enjoy.

Photos and observations of the Hansel and Locomotive valleys, proposed site for the Project Stratos data center. The top ends of the valleys are the greener parts with cattle and some non-irrigated crops. The bottom ends are less lush as, ironically, they touch the dried up salt flats of the GSL's Spring Bay. It's beautiful in the everyday way that working ranches and farmland are. It has enough open space to breathe easy and I bet that at night it's dark enough to see the stars. There's a value in these spaces to our culture and our souls which development and data can't replace. As we push to cram Utah with homes and industry, we're losing touch with what our pioneer ancestors sought, and found, in this high desert.
