Sir Ian McKellen at 86 expertly reciting Shakespeare last night!

Ventilation works. Do you want to reduce the number of times you and your kids get sick? There's an easy solution here:

Six hundred and twenty days after SAGE first mentioned ventilation in schools. Eighteen months since they warned to sort it before winter. The government’s approach to ventilating children’s classrooms isn’t just late. It is incompetent, complacent, and inadequate.

The Government should be investing properly in treatments for Long COVID. Far too many people left in this situation: read Darren's story. 👇🏼

This time last year I lost my job due to #LongCovid. Unsurprisingly it was an extremely difficult time. I'd worked for the NHS as a Learning Disability Nurse for 20yrs. Long Covid ended my career. It also drastically altered my life. Some reflections 👇

All data, including this latest report reflecting the current flu outbreak, shows that illness is the main driver of pupil absence. Labour MPs can’t keep punishing kids for being sick! They must protect kids in schools - air filters now! And stop these cruel attendance policies.

The BBC report included a glimpse into life on the front lines at Leicester Royal Infirmary. Unbelievably, despite being inundated with flu patients, there was barely a facemask in sight… not even a surgical mask… even when in close contact with confirmed flu patients. /4

“We’re told not to test for #Covid19 this year. If we find [Covid in patients], then we have to close beds...” an A&E consultant quoted in this article: independent.co.uk/news/health/h3…

“Doctors say the crisis unfolding across hospitals this winter is not an unavoidable 'act of nature’, but the direct result of political inaction” “This is despite clear recommendations set out in the Covid Inquiry which specifically criticised the lack of suppression measures”

Looking to give the children in your class some responsibility and teach them about indoor air quality? Want to reduce the amount of illness in the last week of term? Would you like to stay well so that you can celebrate Christmas with your family? Look no further #edutwitter
