This FT piece by UBS is pure wealth management marketing nonsense. Calling Fama-French factor models "outdated" misses their fundamental purpose. Factor investing was never designed to explain every stock movement, but rather to identify broad, persistent drivers of expected risk and return. The article’s "52% unexplained" residual does not prove that "innovation" is a superior framework; that remaining percentage largely consists of idiosyncratic noise, shifting expectations, and firm-specific outcomes. In practice, traditional exposures, such as size, value, profitability, sector, and country, remain essential for forecasting returns, constructing diversified portfolios, and controlling risk. #Investing #Finance #PersonalFinance #StockMarket

My first critique of a Weiss lineup: Ozzie 3rd right now feels bad. I know his great history against lefties. He likely get 2 ABs vs. Ragans and then 2 against righty relievers. Acuña, Baldwin, Riley, Olson, Albies mass more sense to me.

@b_outliers Ozzie in the three hole is nuts
