@Ghost_RC_ Fast food is overpriced now. Takeout at a local Mexican place is about the same price as a taco bell order. Zoomers are too afraid to talk on a phone to take advantage

Defending zoomers spending 28 dollars a day on lunch is the dumbest hill to die on. It just shows you are out of touch, and have no clue what $28 really gets you, and just like to bitch whenever given the chance. In NYC, the most expensive city in America, 28 bucks gets you an enormous, in-house butchered and exquisitely prepared, legendary pastrami sandwich from Katz Deli, and people already call that overpriced. And now people want to act like evil capitalists are taking a gun to their heads and forcing them to buy some shit preservative filled, skimped out fast food slop with a big cup of ice and watered down soda for 28 dollars in Buttfuck, Missouri. Everyone with a brain knows that the "value meals" at these price gouging fast food chains are not even the best bang for the buck in those establishments. You can buy 2 Whoppers from Burger King for like 8 bucks or a Taco Bell Lunch Box for like 10 bucks last I checked. The problem is that there is a stupidity epidemic. Zoomers especially are cooked, and the boomers are right about this one.

This is a $28 plate in most American restaurants and for some reason everyone’s big take away in all this is “pack your lunch” when that’s a lateral move in quality and a fractional move financially. $15 plates shouldn’t be $28! THAT’S the real issue at hand here…

@JordykJordan Incidentally, a lot of us also hated Telltale’s games and mocked them relentlessly. But they were at least games. Mixtape is not.

Consider how the left focuses On institutional, systemic, implicit racism, and the consider that they are now telling Jews we Shouldn’t draw any connection between the fact that a guy sported a Nazi tattoo for many years and his hostility to Israel.

No, the Bolsheviks were not peasants. Now, they weren't industrial workers, either. Only one such person was a member of the Central Committee lord-1917, and he turned out to be a Czarist police spy. The Bolsheviks were that dangerous class we all know and loathe, namely...

It's not a big problem and every one of those things that come to your mailbox is there because someone paid good money to put them there. Besides, the alternative is crap piled up in front of your door which is worse.
Palmer Luckey@PalmerLuckey

It is time for the United States Postal Service to ban junk mail. Unsolicited spam calls are already prohibited by the FCC. Emails are heavily regulated by the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003. Junk mail is the majority of mail, 100 million trees per year. Enough!

Hollywood doesn’t actually understand anything about anime. They just see dollar signs and will pander hard with inferior takes. Anime going mainstream in the West though is a real thing. I’m old enough to remember when Japanese animation was relentlessly mocked.
The Wall Street Journal@WSJ

After decades on the fringes of pop culture in the West, anime has become one of Hollywood’s hottest businesses. 🔗 on.wsj.com/4whYuwB

This always comes up in electoral reform conversations. Election nerds like multi-party systems because it’s more symbols and colors for them to play with. They’re compromised, they can’t be trusted to care about what’s actually in the public interest. They just want more toys!

Politics-adjacent fandoms are sinister because it’s not always immediately clear who in the discourse is only there because it’s their Special Interest. Like, do you really care about transportation policy? Or do you just like trains? You’re just really into trains, aren’t you?

Hey man maybe if you understood the virginia constitution at all you would know: a) the decision was legally correct AND b) the judges do need to go, according to the constitution, because their terms run up and the legislature gets to replace them

There is a weird professed belief among the overly online/overly political that the only way to defeat indecency is by being indecent, when every indication is that the first side to act quasi-normal will reap enormous political benefits.

Like a million people replying to this with screenshots from that bullshit CATO study and half-remembered versions thereof. Which was exactly why they prepared and advertised the bullshit CATO study -- battleground prep for future events like this.
Kira@Kiradavis

Van Jones: we have to stop with this kind of violence, on all side.... No. There is no ALL SIDES political violence epidemic in this country. There is a left-wing violence problem and pretending it's ALL SIDES doesn't help solve the issue.
