When I was 20 I had an abortion because I knew that I absolutely could not have a baby completely broke and with my alcoholic boyfriend
I had to sign a waiver acknowledging that I could die from the procedure and I looked at the nurse scared and said “I didn’t know I could die from this”
And she said “Honey, you’re a lot more likely to die from carrying and delivering a baby than from having an abortion”

I don't think it changes this scenario, but I believe old yugioh "fail to find" required that there actually was no target to find.

Notably though, all Magic cards that involve search effects have a "fail to find" rule where you can choose to find nothing. Yu-Gi-Oh used to have this rule as well

@pilft @swannoise This might be the craziest one I've heard yet. In yugioh, that wouldn't even be considered bluffing or misrepresenting the gamestate. That's just straight cheating. You're intentionally resolving a card wrong so that it's in your favor.

@swannoise It's funny because some things magic allows are obviously something that would shock any Yu-Gi-Oh player. If your opponent is searching your library to exile all cards with a certain name, you can just lie about how many copies you are playing while they hold your deck.

Not even close to the same. Slavery causes harm to the fully sentient human beings who were made slaves. An embryo/fetus is not capable of experiencing harm because it is not sentient at the time of abortion therefore no harm is caused by abortion.
