Numerous @nysmesonet records have been set today. For 24 h rainfall: 1) New all-time network record of 11.27" at Schodack 2) The *2nd* highest total today (11.14") would also best the prior record of 9.4" 3) All red sites set records, making it the #1 event day (besting Ida)

A strong low pressure system is bringing heavy rainfall to the region today and overnight tonight. This has resulted in moderate river flooding along the Schoharie Creek. Further minor to moderate flooding is forecast for southeastern NY and western New England.
