They’ve been lying when they say they support immigration “the right way.” This radical policy will target people here LEGALLY, including people married to Americans and parents of U.S. citizen children. It will separate families for months or even years, devastate communities, and kill jobs. We have to do everything we can to stop this insanity.
USCIS@USCIS

USCIS is applying long-standing law and prior court decisions to require certain aliens with temporary visas who decide they want to permanently reside in the U.S. to return to their home countries to apply for permanent visas through the @StateDept. We're returning to the original intent of the law to ensure aliens navigate our nation’s immigration system properly. Here’s what you should know: uscis.gov/newsroom/news-…

PM-602-0192/4 "medical physician" exception update: Government attorney has confirmed it applies to I-765 also. So exception applies to I-485 and I-765, but not I-130 and I-131. No confirmation yet re: I-140 and I-129.

Evolving news about "medical physician" exception to PM-602-0192/4. Gov attorney has revealed that USCIS has lifted the adjudication hold as to I-485 applications for medical physicians, but not as to I-130 petitions or I-131 applications. Waiting for clarification on I-765s.

The USCIS pause is putting Iranian students and workers at risk of losing status and being forced back to Iran—where they could face persecution from the brutal Islamic Republic regime or renewed conflict. @SenMarkey and I led our colleagues to demand answers and immediate protections for Iranians in the U.S. who cannot safely return home.

At #ARRS26 in beautiful Pittsburgh, I had the opportunity to present the project I’ve been working on since joining @YaleRadiology. It was also a great experience to connect with and learn from leaders in the field. Already looking forward to the next @ARRS_Radiology meeting.

“It turned the best day of my life to the worst day of my life.” Dr. Zahra Shokri Varniab matched into a U.S. residency, ready to serve patients, ready to contribute. The same day, her future was taken away. Now she does not even know if she can start. This is what the USCIS pause is doing. Not politics. Not theory. Real lives. Real doctors. Lift the hold. @SecMullinDHS @SecRubio @CNN @MichalRuprecht @mirjordan cnn.com/2026/04/07/hea… #USCISPause #LiftTheHold #Healthcare #LegalImmigration

Iranian here, Someone who actually has at least 4 years of experience providing healthcare to those people you're telling are practically living in the "stone age". How come is obliterating every single powerplant going to help our people get access to free internet or prosperity? Do you even care about Iran or just you're using it as a tool to gain attention? Poor Iranian people who promoted you thinking you're going to be their voice.

You have no clue what our people are actually living through. You are out here clutching your pearls over the words “stone age” while our people are literally stuck in one, total internet blackout, no connection for over a month. I haven’t even seen my family’s faces in weeks. Meanwhile you sit with unlimited internet, lecturing us because a desperate nation is fighting for the freedom you were born with. They’ve already spilled blood for it, and now they’re welcoming bombs on the people trying to kill them. All you want is to talk over us and shut our voices down. And guess what? You did it, Dave. I’m too exhausted to even argue back. Congrats. You successfully spoke over an entire population that can’t even log on to respond. While the ones cheering you on are the regime-approved accounts who actually get internet access to push their narrative. What an accomplishment.
Dave Smith@ComicDaveSmith

Has a single person who advocated that the US overthrow the Iranian regime to “liberate” the people, jumped off board since Trump declared total war against the civilian population? If you’re ok with “stone age” I’m starting to suspect it was never about liberating the people.

Iranian-born doctors, researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs in the U.S. are <1% of legal immigrants but produce >15% of AI papers, >20% of patents, are behind life saving drug discoveries, large percentage of medical doctors in the country and comprise a meaningful part of the workforce in Silicon Valley, including entrepreneurs who have created 10s of thousands of jobs for Americans, all of whom are legal immigrants and have passed through prior security screening. The #USCISPause Proclamation 10988 is putting undue burden on tens of thousands, who are losing legal status, cannot renew green cards, cannot get a green card to stay with their US Citizen spouses, losing job offers and have to get deported. All they are asking is the pause to be lifted and to go through normal processing and further vetting and security clearance if needed in order to be able continue their jobs and remain with family. @marcorubio @SenMullin @USCISJoe @USCIS @realDonaldTrump @RoKhanna @RepKevinMullin @SpeakerPelosi @SenAdamSchiff

Unfortunately the issues with Iranian student visas is not only for incoming students but also for those who have been here for years. This not only hurts them but also US in the long run. Please sign the petition here to help alleviate this. change.org/p/emergency-pe…
