Just look at the video . 50 scheduled caste girl students sleeping in a single hall. This is not a private hostel or accommodation but a #Tamilnadu government Adi-Dravidar welfare hostel at Sivakasi which runs at private home with two toilets ,and one hall for 50 girls. The girls took the issue to the Adi-Dravidar welfare board commissioner who had visited the girls illegally at 9.30 pm in the night . Sent the warden out ,abused the girls and threatened them . Do you know that about 80 percent of the SC/ST budget is allocated for Adi-Dravidar schools and hostels? So much money is taken from our budget and this is the horrible state of affairs of the institutions . Last week a young female reporter was threatened on record by the DMK government 's Adi - Dravidar welfare commissioner for reporting on the pathetic condition of the Mylapore boys Adi-Dravidar hostel,Chennai . This is not new and this has been the treatment of the Dalit students by both the parties , ADMK and DMK for the last decades . This current DMK rule supercedes all that disappointment . Where is the Adi-Dravidar minister @Kayalvizhi_N and where are the reserved constituency MLAs and MPs ?!! I was injured in the left side of my head near the ears in an accident on Friday. There was swelling and I went to Apollo Kilpauk and they diagnosed tissue damage . They prescribed medicines, suggested full rest and suggested CT for ruling out internal injury. I was supposed to get the scans around 9 pm at the Perambur scan centre (half charge in the night) near Armstrong anna's home . But unfortunately I received the news of his attack around 7.45 pm . I immediately informed media friends and communicated the news to our brothers from the North. Around 12 .30 am we left to GH while his body was at the mortuary and left at 3 am . The next morning I had calls for interviews and I accepted only three . Finished the interviews and left for GH again at 7 pm. The body was given at sharp 10 pm and we followed the body until his home till 1 am . Next day we left for the funeral at 12 pm and were there until 3 pm . Met with BSP people from Telangana.And immediately left after the court verdict was announced,as we were very disappointed and really angry. I have some news piece pending and more interview requests. But sadly I can't do more interviews as my health has totally gone for a toss due to the injury and the distress of the murder of Armstrong anna. So if you ask how I managed to do the interviews ,this is how I did . With head injury and heartache over the death . So the people talking about how "ugly" I look in the interviews ,you assholws... your heart is ugly . I am not . Let me take a break and return after a week's time . Jai bhim.

என் 19வயதில் ஆம்ஸ்ட்ராங் சார் அறிமுகம் அரசியல் பார்வையை மாற்றியது. அம்பேத்கரை, அயோத்திதாசரை வாசிக்க காரணமாயிருந்தவர். சாதீய அட்டூழியங்களின் புரிதலை ஏற்படுத்தியவர். அதன்பின் நான் தெளிவான அரசியலை நோக்கி பயணித்தேன். அரசியல் பாதையை தேர்ந்தெடுத்தேன். என்றென்றும் நினைவில் வாழ்வார்.

This January when he came in parole he said he will be released within a month . I used to call his Mobile twice in a month to check if it's ringing. It was switched off until last week . Meaning ,he was still in prison . Today he called and said he got out of the prison yesterday at around 8 pm . Released after 22 years . One reader from the prison who came to meet me during his paroles (who was released a few months back) told me about this anna who is an ardent fan of my writing. Their prison had a library and they used to receive magazines. So they were reading my column for a long time . So next week I addressed the column's next article to that particular person and other cell mates in the prison, thanking them . When he came out in parole ,he contacted me and told me how as a #Dalit he had to do something to prevent his community being violated by the dominant caste goundars. He didn't belong to any movement. He was an individual. But he sacrificed his life for the community,he was 25. Now the village is safe for Dalits he says . And most of them educated and hold lands .But he has lost 22 years of his youth and also asked his wife to remarry so that she can live her life . There are hundreds of such individuals who have done these selfless acts for the Dalit community and we are indebted to them . I was very emotional to hear him talk about how he was surprised that I wrote about caste and feminism in a "Brahmin " magazine. And how he was happy that people are fighting against caste in their own way . He used to teach anti-caste lessons in prison and he said he used my writings for intersectionality .It was a great honour to be of a tiny help . What he has done is huge . Everytime he is out in parole he will call me and speak to me about the village's liberation from caste . I am too emotional and joyful today . My anna is out and I will go to the church today and give out buns. I had prayed for his release. The whole village prayed for him . Jai bhim 💙

I want to be at a place where my parents don’t see the price tag when they go to a shop,says Poongodhai, daughter of an auto-driver, who came first among GCC schools scoring 578 in the class XII board exams. Speaking in fluent English, Poongodhai of Perambur GCC school said she wants to pursue BCom and CA. She lives in a 1 bhk rented house where she had to share a room with four others. She had to constantly struggle financially and space wise to coordinate and study at home, with her sister who is doing B.Pharm. She said apart from studying B.com, she wants to ensure kids for her locality Kodungaiyur pursues higher education.

SOS 42 #Dalit and #Muslim families from #Gummidipoondi Vettu Colony are being evicted from their indigenous homes and the houses will be demolished tomorrow morning to pave the way for a new road . This land belongs to them and now they will be rendered homeless with women ,men and children with no place to go . Tiruvallur is exploited for capitalistic benefits and the state should stop the eviction and Demolition immediately.
