All the talk of missing #DoctorWho media often forgets adjacent content that was transmitted but no longer exists. On this day in 2006, I produced a live afternoon on CBBC Channel celebrating S2. Because it was live, it was never recorded, only briefly existing on studio VHS.

@SamJLance @Doinkadect I visited the house and helped clear it. I can tell you for certain he kept absolutely everything he recorded. And given 20 tonnes of recorded material went to landfill before we turned up, that further reinforces he never ever handed anything over to anyone.

Thinking of the near misses of missing episode finds: -Nigeria 1999 (11: MP, TRoT, TC) -Sierra Leone (18: G4, TMM, TM, TCT, TS) -Melbourne 2023 (up to 35: TFO-TSP) We could’ve been down to *31* missing episodes

@Doinkadect Pretty sure Sierra Leone was disproven too. There were rumours the archive had been destroyed, but then the bloke that found EOTW found it and it discovered no Who there.

@Doinkadect In fact, as a preservationist and a Who fan as well, I’d say he very likely didn’t have any, as he would have likely handed them over at some point over the last 60 years.

@Doinkadect There’s no evidence the collector in ‘23 ever had ANY Doctor Who. Some of his recordings were destroyed before the collection was preserved, but there’s never been anything to suggest he had missing Who beyond the fact that he liked the show.

@TrilbeeReviews I haven't seen Season 5, and will likely wait until I can watch it without bias, if ever. But man oh man, there's a certain shot I've seen that is so glaringly poor in comparison to this one. This was really such an accomplishment, and it was sad to see the show falter later.

Watched Series 1 of 'Stranger Things' when it came out but didn't carry on with it for some reason. Have finally been watching it for the past few weeks and reached 'Dear Billy' which is the clear high-point of the show. Those last 10 minutes are absolutely phenomenal TV.

@Pete_2097 @TimelessDoctors @gbsheard Criticism and comments content (which is 99% of DW creators who use Patreon) is legally exempt by its very nature. Creating new episodes of a series owned by another company is where you’re going to find trouble. The two are not equal.

I've been very excited about this project since it was first conceived years ago. So many talented creatives involved in the project and really bringing the TC story to life... But this trailer alone seems to feature a FEW AI-generated clips, and I just think that's a shame tbh

@TimelessDoctors @gbsheard I think it’s quite silly for someone to be against AI in the context of a fan film. For a genuine, professional piece of work? Sure. AI has no place there. For a fan project that is already stealing liberally from the source material? It’s kinda in the spirit. Can’t wait for it!

@gbsheard Sorry it disappoints you, George. The movie runs for 2 & a half hours (nearly 5 full episodes of nu-Who.) & we have no budget. The only way to tell the script was to use every tool at our disposal, we really couldn't afford to worry that some tools might trigger people.

@TimelessDoctors @gbsheard Don’t think it’s that personal. Have you thought of a kickstarter just to help fund the project and remove the need for ai ? I honesty think whilst ai is cool and yes you are limited in time and funds without it will allow everyone to enjoy it over some getting annoyed.

@floellaumbagabe This was 100% found at the time it came out, I remember because I used to have a copy of it. It was from a website selling stock/trailer music - there were maybe 5 or so variations of it with differing instrumentation.
