Today during a street corner meeting at Ekbalpore, Hussain Park, goons linked to TMC and Firhad Hakim abused BJP karyakartas and created disruption. When we protested, the Ekbalpore OC threatened to kill me and my karyakartas. Not only that, an open lathi-charge was carried out on me, my karyakartas, and even my daughter. All this happened under DC Port, and the entire incident is recorded on my Facebook Live. This is TMC’s panic out of fear of defeat a lamp burns brightest before it goes out. Seeing growing public support, TMC has resorted to violence, but we will not be intimidated. The people of Kolkata Port will give a fitting reply. I urge the Home Ministry to intervene and ensure strict punishment for the culprits.
