दो दिन पहले भुवनेश्वर मिलने आया था। मेरा चचेरा भाई है। रेलवे के इलेक्ट्रीफिकेशन करने वाली कम्पनी में इंजीनियर है। साइट पर काम करने में पूरा भारत घूम चुका है। बंगाल और बंगाल के चुनाव की बात हुई तो बोला — न्यू माल जंक्शन पर वह एक एसएसपी बनाने के लिये खम्भे खुदवाना चाहता था। पर स्टेशन के आसपास घुसपैठिया लोगों ने कब्जा कर रखा था। आरपीएफ और स्टेट पुलीस साथ थी, पर चुप खड़ी थी। उग्र हो रहे थे वे लोग। बड़ी मानमनौव्वल के बाद वे खम्भे लगा पाये। "वो तब हाल था भईया। दो दिन पहले चुनाव परिणाम के बाद स्टेशन मास्टर साहब का फोन आया — रातों रात वो जगह खाली हो गई है। पचहत्तर-सौ झोपड़ियां थीं उनकी। सब गायब! सब 'फाका' हो गया है। खाली मैदान।" — भुवनेश्वर ने बताया। न्यू माल बाजार से बांगला देश सीमा 45 किमी दूर है। रेलवे की जमीन उन्हें कब्जा करने के लिये सॉफ्ट टार्गेट होती थी। पर बदले हालात में; अगर सरकार प्रो-एक्टिव रहे तो आधे से ज्यादा तो घुसपैठिये यूं ही गायब हो जायेंगे। "चुन चुन कर डीपोर्ट" करने की कवायद से पहले ही। अच्छा रहा, भुवनेश्वर ने घर बैठे मुझे तब और अब का हाल बता दिया!

India's Telecom Ministry's DoT has reduced the Vodafone Idea Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) dues from Rs 87,695 cr to Rs 64,046 cr. Vodafone Idea (Vi) has to pay a minimum of Rs. 100 crore annually over 4 years from FY 2031-32 to FY 2034-35 and the remaining amount to be paid in 6 equal instalments annually from FY 2035-36 to FY 2040-41.

BSNL Cancels Director's Lavish Prayagraj Visit After Leak Sparks Backlash. A February 19 internal document from BSNL's Prayagraj unit outlined 21 tasks for Director Vivek Bansal's two-day visit starting February 25, including temple visits, 'snan kits' with underwear and slippers, and vehicles loaded with juices and chocolates. The plan drew outrage online, especially given BSNL's 3.22 lakh crore in government bailouts and recent 1,302 crore quarterly loss. Finally BSNL quickly canceled the trip, took disciplinary action, and transferred Prayagraj's Principal General Manager Brijendra Kumar Singh to Andhra Pradesh.
