Isn’t this completely backwards?
Iranian state media is publishing news about attacks on infrastructure daily. Foreign media have been reporting from the country during the war.
Iranian photojournalists and citizens capturing harrowing images of death and destruction. We are seeing a lot of damage in a lot of places.
We get nothing like that level of visibility from Israel or the Gulf, and certainly not from CENTCOM.
If anything, Iran’s strategy is to show it can absorb the cost of the war, position itself as the victim, and polarize its own public against the conflict.

🚨The U.S. military is investigating a *second* incident aside from the Minab school in Iran, I have learned. That one also took place on the first day of the war and left at least 21 people dead, including two students, who were practicing volleyball and a young boy who was practicing soccer in a field.
This goes to show how much of the true civilian deaths and casualties remain unreported.

Both officials from mediating countries said that the Islamic Republic is not likely to capitulate, regardless of whether ground operation moves ahead. They insisted that Iran will not now agree to terms that it wasn't willing to accept before the US launched the war. (4/4)

EXCLUSIVE: Each day since the start of the war, U.S. military officials compile a video update for President Trump that shows the biggest, most successful strikes on Iranian targets over the previous 48 hours.
But the military can’t brief Trump on every strike and so the video, while it showcases U.S. capabilities, doesn’t reflect the full scope of the conflict.
“We can’t tell him every single thing that happens,” a current U.S. official said. The official noted that Trump’s briefings tend to draw better feedback from his aides when they focus on U.S. victories.
