💡Nota Bene—DO NOT USE BATHROOM HAND DRYERS. Research shows these dryers suck in and blow fecal aerosols. Shake your hands dry instead. Watch 🎥 twitter.com/_blkhoney/stat…

Completely spot on! 🔽 "When the hamster studies concluded "BA.1 would be 'less severe', that was 'good science'." "When the same teams, with the same experimental protocols, show that BA.5 would be "more severe", it becomes 'crap science'..."

“It’s the wild west out there.” There is widespread agreement among infectious-disease experts that this remains a dangerous virus that causes illnesses of unpredictable severity — and they say the country is not doing enough to limit transmission. washingtonpost.com/health/2022/07…

Currently, data suggest that these lineages may be more transmissible than other lineages of the #OmicronVariant. There is no evidence at this time to suggest that BA.4 or BA.5 cause more severe disease than other variants or Omicron lineages.

In recent weeks, BA.4 & BA.5 have been increasing in the U.S. As of July 5, BA.4 is estimated to represent 16.5% of circulating variants & BA.5 is estimated to represent 53.6%. CDC continues to closely monitor & assess impact of #COVID19 variants. More: bit.ly/3BOwX9Q

Boeing study shows that on an airplane with HEPA filtration, particles transferred between a cougher and breather are about the same as separation of 2 meters in a conference room. Wear a mask! youtube.com/watch?v=Pcnwip…

@AllyKeyLime Thanks! Stick with the NIOSH certification standards: anything that meets N95 is good, anything that meets N100/P100 is better. These are a few of the ones I have for the 3M half- and full-face respirators I use most of the time: twitter.com/trendless/stat… 1/

"A Clunky Mask May Be the Answer to Airborne Disease and N95 Waste "Worn properly, they offer better protection than N95s, which, as their name suggests, only filter out 95 percent of pathogens. Most elastomerics exceed 99 percent. @PPEtoheros nytimes.com/2022/07/03/hea…

This is the 3M 7500 series. Silicone seal so should be super comfortable. But..👇👇 On the other hand, I'll be using a UHF wireless microphone and speaker to boost my comms game, as I just bought this. amazon.com/dp/B07KJ3TD6W/… I cut where the red line shows, and folded

@LazarusLong13 I love the fit of the 7503, but it's murder to talk through and gets super humid very quickly if the exhale valve is blocked.

10. My first recommendation for P100 elastomerics is the @DentecSafety Comfort-Air NxMD (review coming). The GVS Ellipse P100 is popular. The Dräger X-plore 2100 is cost-effective. The 3M 6000 is widely available. The Sundström SR100 has a high pass-rate cleanaircrew.org/masks/

LISTEN: Folks, the US is going through turmoil on a scale I don't believe I've ever seen in my life time. I deeply apologize for the lack of updates. There's just A LOT happening here. Between learning from the Jan 6 committee and the ruling on Roe.
