Game theory Most people are playing the wrong game. If you want to get rich, there are only 3 games that actually matter. Everything else is a distraction

India is one of the most important places in the world to build enduring, category-defining companies - and the next chapter will be shaped by two forces we care deeply about at @generalcatalyst: AI transformation and resilience. General Catalyst has announced a commitment to invest $5 billion in India over the next five years. Here's what that means in practice.

@1shankarsharma Imports would comprise of crude oil, substituting crude oil imports from some other country (thus, net neutral) On the other hand, probably, a lower duty compared to other mfg companies would lead to an upward bias on exports.

Just so that I don't misunderstand the trade deal: we have had exports of $ 86 BILLION to US, imports of around 45 billion . Surplus of ~40 billion dollars. Now, we will still export the same, but import $ 500 billion without duty, right? Even assuming this is over say, 5 years , we will export ~ 400 billion and import ~500 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of ~ 100 billion with Amreeka? What am I missing here?

@theskindoctor13 Our tolerance for corruption has gone up manifold in the last 2 decades - both govt &voters. Ministers were asked to stepped down for a mere allegation during the hawala scam, Rajiv Gandhi was voted out due to Bofors. It is mainstreamed now.

A BJP MLA from Rajasthan was caught in a sting operation demanding a 40% commission to approve a project under the MLA-LAD fund, something long known to happen, but now on video. Take a simple example: if a road project worth ₹1 crore is approved for a village, ₹40 lakh is effectively pocketed by the MLA/MP even before the work begins. From the remaining ₹60 lakh, further cuts go to PWD officials, district and block officials, middlemen, fixers, audit and clearance facilitators, after which the contractor still takes his profit. What finally reaches actual construction may not exceed ₹10 lakh. That is precisely why such projects barely last a few months. In China, such a case would trigger a swift inquiry and severe punishment, including death penalty. In India, there isn’t even an FIR yet. Absolutely nothing will happen.

@richapintoi @mybmc should also regulate flouting developers like @LODHA, who cut corners on costs to heavily pollute the eco systems of their sites with dust. The site at @mybmcWardS at Bhandup, where their site is covered with a dust cloud impacting residents around.

BMC conducted a Road Cleaning and Dust Control drive from November 28-30, 2025. During this campaign, 570 metric tonnes of waste, 95 metric tonnes of discarded items, and 18 metric tonnes of construction debris were removed. Additionally, civic staff carried out deep cleaning of 676 roads, covering a total length of 1,888 km. This was a part of preventive measures implemented by the BMC for improvement in Mumbai’s Air Quality Index (AQI)

Time to blame wind direction, wind speed, weather, and positions of CAQMS for this pathetic AQI in Mumbai today. No blames on BMC's failure to tackle it with long term measures. No control on construction sites openly violating Guidelines. No blames for proper staff in BMC's environment department. No onground team to control vehicular and construction pollution. Not enough sweeping, no control on waste burning and no control on dust from public infra projects too.

@kunalpurohit @mybmc BMC developer norms also don’t apply to connected groups like @LODHA . Day-light flouting of norms, no water sprays, no abiding to timelines. Unchecked dust pollution created at their site in Bhandup for last 1.5 years. @mybmc @Dev_Fadnavis

Mumbai’s AQI is touching 300. City gasping for breath. But the @mybmc is digging the city up afresh, with zero concern for dust-mitigation measures. This is in Bandra. Thank you, @mybmc. 🙏

@mumbaiheritage Due to repeat offenders, who are above the law, like @LODHA developers. Their site in Bhandup disregards all construction rules and norms - no water sprays, no timelines. neighbouring residents live in a thick layer of dust created by them.

As geo politics interferes with economics, India quickens domestic reform. Reduction in GST rates, and now capital market changes. Time to transform, for every Indian to get out of comfort zone, to embrace atma nirbhar and create negotiating leverage. Only the paranoid survive.

Feminists have an incredible ability to turn every occasion into a stage for personal or ideological self-spotlighting. From Karva Chauth rants on ‘patriarchal fasting’ to Raksha Bandhan lectures on ‘self-protection,’ Navratri reminders of ‘worship vs oppression,’ and Holi reduced to ‘harassment.' Apart from draining these events of their shared meaning and stirring needless polarization, they also trivialize genuine women’s issues into attention-seeking theatrics, eroding the broader public’s willingness to stand with women who genuinely need help.

@KuchBhi108 @I_am_Vedvrat Roll back 5k years, there would be probably 1k languages within what we call today as India. Like how Hindi evolved from various dialects, Tamil, Gujarati, Bangla, Kannada, Punjabi etc would have also ‘killed’ 100s of dialects & languages.

The reality is that there is no "Hindi heartland". What they call "Hindi-belt" was created by systematically killing local languages of the North, like: - Braj Bhasha - Maithili - Awadhi - Rajasthani - Bhili - Dogri - Bhojpuri - Marwadi And so many more! Look at the first map! That's the real language map of India. The second one is what they have done after Hindi imposition. And guess what, we are called anti-national for opposing this mindset!
