In the recently concluded GUMSA league (Gulu University Medical Student's Association), we, @ScdcGulu, embarked on creating sickle cell awareness through integration with sports activities and collaboration with clubs at the faculty of Medicine @GuluVarsity

It's from here that a group of 20 African Early Career Researchers have been commissioned to go and advance Genomics in Africa. Thanks to @KidneyGenAfrica for investing in the future Generation

The GULU SICKLE CELL MARATHON happened yesterday, on the 23rd of November, 2025. This event was geared towards the purchase of an Hb electrophoresis machine for @GuluHospital , in a bid to fight sickle cell, by raising diagnostic capacity in the region.
