If they are absent from school and I say so, that’s how it is.

I recall hearing about how the Irish, Italian's, Jewish people and etc were horribly mistreated upon arrival. Despite it all, they still strived to assimilate and be Americans. They didn't double down with one political party, form large enclaves and try to turn America into the third world. Slightly different.
