MOST important lesson: initial provider should NOT call anything cancer until proven. Too often in ED pts R told they have C and don’t!

@EM_RESUS Mets from sex organs (breast, uterine, ovarian; if man testicular) comes to mind first. Older smoker with hematuria = RCC Mets. Pale people? Melanoma Mets. Then endo organs (thyroid first). Consult to ID -> call onc. Many a consult involves our friends heme/onc then rheum. :)
