Today in Nashville, TN, Under Secretary William Kimmitt met with @TNECD’s Stuart McWhorter, Deputy Governor and Commissioner for the Department of Economic and Community Development, and Allen Borden, Deputy Commissioner of Business, Community, and Rural Development to discuss TNECD and @ExportGov’s continued collaboration on international business initiatives, including foreign direct investment and the @SelectUSA Investment Summit, visiting trade delegations, trade events, and more.

Great to see the UAE at this year's @SelectUSA Investment Summit in Maryland — 45 delegates, led by H.E. Mohammad Al Hawi.  From plenaries and panels to @USChamber networking and a meeting with Deputy Under Secretary for International Trade Diane Farrell, the delegation explored new opportunities to invest in the U.S. market and support American jobs.

Spent a lot of my time at @SelectUSA in DC this week meeting with Canadian companies working across energy, manufacturing, and critical minerals. From Standard Lithium's $1.25 billion Arkansas project to Mitrex's new Florida solar factory, these investments mean jobs and stronger supply chains. Good conversations about where we will go next.

The United States is open for business—and the opportunity is now. That was the clear message underscored by @CommerceGov Secretary @howardlutnick in his opening address at the @SelectUSA Summit, reinforcing the U.S. commitment to welcoming foreign direct investment. Nearly 50 Australian delegates participated in this year’s summit with a clear objective: to explore and expand their business into the U.S. The delegation showcased the best of Australian innovation, including its capabilities across critical minerals, technology, AI, quantum, health, space, and defense—sectors critical to deepening U.S.–Australia economic ties. 🇺🇸 🤝 🇦🇺Delegates engaged senior Commerce officials, the governors of Utah and Maryland, representatives from EXIM, the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and @ENERGY Congratulations to Mark Luo, CEO of @QuantumBrillia1, reaching the finals of the Global Tech Pitching competition! Thank you to @_aaausa for hosting the delegation in New York, Bondi Partners for hosting the Welcome Reception in Washington, D.C., and the @AusintheUS team. The momentum behind the U.S.–Australia investment partnership was on full display throughout the week.

Team Finland delegation represented a wide array of Finnish expertise at @SelectUSA from advanced technologies to quantum computing and more. Finland has a great deal to offer to U.S. partners, and we always look forward to exploring new avenues for collaboration.
