‘Meeting the team at SIK was the turning point for the family,’ Tabby says. ‘They gave us a new hope and purpose for our baby.’ Read about Sospeter who has learned to communicate, feed and walk after SI ensured that he could access specialist support. senseinternational.org.uk/our-impact/sos…

Earlier today, @SenseInternationalKe was delighted to host a group of London Marathon runners who are fundraising for our cause. The team had the opportunity to visit one of our partner schools and witness firsthand the positive impact Sense International Kenya has in Nairobi.

In the realm of #Disability, the sector finds itself at a critical crossroads, marked by a combination of advancements and ongoing challenges. While notable progress has been made in promoting the rights and integration of individuals with disabilities, there remains a substantial amount of unfinished work. Across various regions, PwD's still encounter significant barriers when it comes to accessing vital services, quality #education , suitable #Employment , and social opportunities. The added burdens of discrimination, social stigma, and limited resources further exacerbate their daily struggles. Although commendable efforts have been undertaken to address these issues, dedicated organizations and advocates tirelessly championing disability rights, raising #awareness, and fostering #inclusivity , there are persistent hurdles in the form of funding shortfalls and fragmented networks that impede the realization of lasting and impactful change. This incredible line up of speakers will shed light on unlocking additional resources, expanding opportunities, and driving positive change within the disability sector. Synergized, we will pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable future for all. @cbmWorldwide @SenseInternatl @NextStepFdn @adduk @MuthamiMutie @FredrickOuko1 @jquesiga @DanielMNgugi
