Worthing manager Adam Hinshelwood is currently leading the way to become the new Southend United manager. The former York City has an impressive CV after winning the National League South this season. Deal could be wrapped up by the end of next week week. #worthingfc #sufc

I've had lots of people message me about Adam Hinshelwood. I'm chasing updates but as of yesterday was not aware of any approach from Southend. There is strong interest in him from another National League club.

Southend United are working alongside MRKT Insights to appoint their next manager. MRKT Insights have worked very closely with Rochdale on player recruitment in the last few years as well as other clubs on player and manager recruitment.

Some good news is Harry Taylor has a year option on his contract that the club can trigger. Same with Charley Kendall and Oli Coker according to my notes I made at the time.

Understand the concern around the vacant Head Coach position and the number of players currently out of contract. But this is precisely why Oliver Gage was brought into the Club. There is a clear need to appoint a Head Coach sooner rather than later, but the key thing now is making the right appointment, not the quickest one. Gage will also be leading the contract negotiations and wider football operations side of things this summer. This is the structure the club has chosen to move towards, and moments like this are exactly when that structure is supposed to come into its own. #Shrimpers 🦐

@CJPhillips1982 I think using the word “sack” is pretty harsh here Chris, he wasn’t sacked. The club didn’t renew his contract. My personal opinion I think it was the right decision. I think Kev hit his ceiling with us and it’s the right time for the club to go a different direction

I really feel that too kuch change is going to hinder us going into next season. I also think we lose any hope of keeping certain players if Kev is to go. We have a really good base of a squad that if added 6 or 6 quality players to it would see us over the line. Big Decisions

@danfairless97 I think it sounded in some of the interviews recently that he is talking about what the club can achieve but not himself . Around the Scunthorpe game or before he’s checked out little . As sad as it is it may not be a bad thing
