@missmayn @GayBearRes Property tax is unfair as a default. You’ll feel that way if you ever amount to anything and own anything

boomers cry about property taxes because their homes have increased so much in value (they love that part) but they’re mad they have to pay taxes based on the higher value of their homes (they think that part is unfair.)

We’re not talking enough about President Candace Owens. Yes, president. That may sound absurd to us politicos. But in my focus groups, Owens keeps coming up as one of the non-politicians voters can imagine in the White House. (1/5)

Look how Hasan responds to Nick Fuentes vs how he responded to me. Nick Fuentes is viciously racist and a white supremist btw. Crazy huh?

I was young in the 80s/90s in the UK. I don’t remember my parents ever going out to eat, except when we were on holiday (in the UK). I don’t think they ever took me to a fast food restaurant, or ordered takeaway food. People today have no clue how working people lived. /1
Raven@raven_brah

Boomers seem to forget that fast food used to be a normal, everyday expense for them because it was affordable. You could get a burger easily on minimum wage, it wasn’t some fancy treat you had once a year as a reward for pulling yourself up by your bootstraps.

Why would an employer do that? They can employ a 45 year old with 20 years experience for the same wages as an 18 year old with none. Maybe start by incentivising employers to hire them by dropping the minimum wage for U25s to £8 ph.

🚨 NEW: A Government review has found employers must adapt to the "bedroom generation" of unemployed 16-24 year olds by offering more flexibility It says they're "not snowflakes or faking it" and their anxiety and depression is linked to growing up on social media [@thetimes]

@r_u_thinking @Arrekisu The Zillow average home price includes condos, and it's 367K "Rental units exist" is not all that relevant. Home ownership should be attainable for everyone. That's the position

look, i'll try again but you gotta put some effort into understanding your position is that everyone should be able to purchase a home, and where that home's value falls in the range of home prices should be commensurate with where that person's income is on the scale of incomes that's what you initially wrote and it's nonsense why do apartments exist? do only poor people live in them? why do some wealthy people choose to live in middle class neighborhoods? why do poor people try to live in a location that's outside their means? your entire premise is completely fake. it doesn't exist anywhere except in your head

I'm 53 poppet. There were no McDonald's KFC or Dominoes when I was a kid When I went to comprehensive school my art class teacher asked who'd had Lasagne. A third of the class put their hands up. I didn't even know what it was You're deluded

@ShearedSheeple @Lormif1 @nolightupstairs @isaiah_bb Negative shocks can happen in any system. I just don’t see how that explains why income inequality is a bad thing. There should be a separation based on value created & that gap should be as big as the gap is in value creation.

@ShearedSheeple @Lormif1 @nolightupstairs @isaiah_bb See we disagree here — We’re not living a cost of living crisis. We are living in a Housing crisis in HCOL cities due to not building enough housing. But that has more to do with exclusionary zoning vs income inequality.

@Blockedhmmmm @Lormif1 @nolightupstairs @isaiah_bb Currently? You're essentially asking me to predict the future But just look back and you'll find countless examples. Enron and Bear Stearns come to mind The point being you cannot assess the long-term health of the market with just a snapshot of current performance

@ShearedSheeple @Lormif1 @nolightupstairs @isaiah_bb I don’t think it’s a disconnect? What company is creating massive profits currently that is costing society as a whole? NVIDA is creating massive profits because AI will create a massive benefit for society as a whole?
