The BDA broke the rules. If you want a Gett, you go to the Beis Din FIRST. Adeena Kohn went to the secular court first. She is not an Agunah. In fact Raphi Stein responded to all this by requesting to transfer the case to Beis Din. Again, this is Halacha. Kohn refused.

@yechielroth @NeoLitvish @DrDanniellex2 It is not the only Beis Din. But it is a very well recognized, legitimized Beis Din. And the “Bais Din” Raphi keeps turning to is not recognized as a legitimate Bais Din. Furthermore, it is not properly run.

PSA: the person running this account, Raphi Stein, has refused to give his ex-wife a gett (Jewish divorce). He has left her chained to a dead marriage for nearly 5 years. Without a Jewish Divorce his ex wife cannot remarry and move on.

I keep seeing people here claiming there is a seruv against @RaphiStein. Turns out the seruv is to appear at beit din, not to give a gett. So, just to be clear, he has no obligation to give a gett at this moment. But yes, he should go to a beit din as the seruv suggests.
